mykingdomforanMFA Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 I hope everyone has had successful auditions so far! I had my USD audition today and felt really good about both my work and the interview/banter portion, but no callback. Their email says callbacks are not indicative of your full consideration for the program, but...that feels untrue. Auditioning over Zoom is so weird, y'all. Anyone heard back about UCSD callbacks? They said we'd hear back by January 30th, but I'm wondering if anyone has already heard?
teetertotter Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 finally found the 2021-2022 MFA freakout forum... this year I applied to Bard Painting program (low res), Yale Painting, SAIC (low res), and SVA Art Practice (low res) program. I almost applied to SFAI because I'm pretty sure they are accepting anyone/you can create your own program, but I'm going to wait to hear back from the other schools first... my EFC according to FAFSA is 0. Curious to see what aid programs will be offered if accepted... anyone have experience with SAIC low res program/financial aid for that..? best of luck to you all- theundoing 1

But maybe they said February because that is their COVID timeline. Yes... considering that we are in special circumstances it's more of who knows? Good luck and can't wait to see how things go! theundoing 1
mari11 Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 (edited) I applied to 10 programs (in sculpture where they had specialties): ArtCenter, Bard, CalArts (both art and art + technology), CCA, Columbia, RISD, UCLA, VCU, and Yale. I'll update on dates for either interview requests and rejections to help anyone else out who is applying for the same! Good luck to everyone else in this process! You’ll probably just be offered unsubsidized loans.

I'm not sure about SAIC and SVA. Yale also looks at your parents' income and assets regardless of your age and regardless of your relationship with them.

Tyler painting is holding interviews this weekend. Another poster had an interview with Tyler's Ceramics department a couple weeks ago. (I had a great conversation with the Painting faculty today! It seems like a fantastic program.) JellyRoll 1

Go2021 Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 Is there anyone who received interview invitation from SAIC?
berries Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 I had an interview for Tyler Painting yesterday. I don’t think I did very well. I got too nervous but the faculty was very friendly. I’m still waiting to hear from Yale, Columbia, UCLA, SAIC, RISD, Bard, BU, Hunter, and CalArts. AidaLizard 1

slickjaketheruler Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 Has anyone hear back from Tyler Printmaking at all? I'm still waiting on my interview request (so anxious).
kickthebottle Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 Greetings future peers, The waiting game has begun, I'm excited and anxious as this is my first time applying. I've applied to great schools but understand that this year will be a tough one due to unnatural circumstances. Had been peaking in most of the time, but decided to make an account and share any results with the community. Wish everyone the best and look forward to seeing great results from everyone, cheers.
