Is that remotely possible? Expand It's very rare. Sometimes if you're early in your career (year 1 or 2) and your PI moves then you can transfer to the new institution. If you're later in your grad school years then you move to the new institution but remain enrolled at your old one.

Thank you. Expand Hello, I am an international student. Recent graduate from an international institution. I got an interview invitation from Columbia CMBS Umbrella Track on Dec 18th and I interviewed end of January. We are supposed to hear back soon about final decisions. I did apply to Penn BioE and I am pretty sure I have been rejected since I did not hear back and some friends of mine from the US have already interviewed and gotten offers. Hope this helps! Good luck! Henry13579 1

Is that remotely possible? Expand It occurs, but is quite uncommon. This is unlike undergrad, and you'll need to offer a very good reason. Much of the time, people transfer schools to follow their PIs when their PIs change institution.

NeuroPhDInd Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 I am filling up the ds-160 and wanted to ask if to give yes or no as an answer: Do you have any specialized skills or training, such as firearms, explosives, nuclear, biological, or chemical experience ? Also, do we need to include middle school and high-school details in education section?

I think it should be fine. As for the second question, I didn't mention high school actually. I think they only ask for postsecondary education, which is whatever is beyond high school.
