egwynn Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Nope nope nope, and I'm wondering when the heck we will hear! You just inspired me to check my online app, which also says "No decision." I'm almost positive that that's the same thing it has said every time I've visited, but I could be wrong. Hallucinations, then. I am not even remotely surprised that I have reached this point.
It's (Not) About Me Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U70oaQR6tKE&sns=em That is basically how my internal monologue went! Ps. Where can I get that sweater she's wearing at 0:13...?

Datatape Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 But if you wear that sweater, you'll be the laughingstock of Flatpoint High!

sadthatthisdefinesmylife Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Alright!!! I finally heard from a school! A rejection from Brown! Huzzah!

bostonbooklvr Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Hey all, I've been quietly stalking the thread for a little bit, and finally decided my anxiety needs an outlet. I applied to 9 schools, and haven't heard from a single one. At this point, a rejection letter would even be fine just to get things over with. Pretty sure BC, Notre Dame and Penn State already sent out their acceptances, too. None of my friends are involved in/interested in the world of academia, so I feel like I am floating alone on a very teeny island. I'm sure there are plenty of others who haven't heard from schools, either, but I'm beginning to think it's just not going to happen! Well hello there, I just clicked the link above in asleepawake's profile, and saw the list of the zillions of schools who haven't begun to notify (or at least it isn't widely known that they are notifying). That helped. A little.

The results board is the best place to look for actual information. ETA: I've started to do some updating. Edited February 22, 2013 by asleepawake
It's (Not) About Me Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Here: http://www.yesstyle.com/en/kiwi-shop-cat-pattern-long-sleeve-knit-top-light-orange-one-size/info.html/pid.1032083578 DAMMIT, I love it so much, but why does it have to be all weird and droopy on the sides? Do not want. But otherwise: want.
asleepawake Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Shirts have been coming in really weird cuts like that lately. It's devastating!
Swagato Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 (edited) OK I don't know how YesStyle got involved here, but PSA PLEASE NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THERE. They will not fit you the way they are shown. Google for more information on this. You'll thank me later. Ninja edit: yes I am embarrassingly knowledgeable about fashion and my defence is that I'm very interested in avant garde fashion (Comme des Garçons, Alexander McQueen, etc.). thatjewishgirl Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 WHATEVER!!!! There is NOTHING wrong with or embarrassing about being interested in fashion. Period. Don't be ashamed. Anyone who judges you for it is probably really boring. asleepawake, pinkrobot and practical cat 3

Psht never be embarrassed by an interest in fashion. Here's an awesome new academic book I'm reading that reads Coco Chanel as a modernist, alongside Wyndham Lewis and Mina Loy (who apparently designed jewelry): http://books.google.com/books/about/Cold_Modernism.html?id=t1U0-8fbEMwC

champagne Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 This begs the question: Should I be embarrassed about knowing just as much about fashion as my cat?

Haha, it is true that YesStyle clothes can be kinda weird, but I've had some luck with them. They deal with so many different companies that I've found a few good ones. The measurements I've seen have usually been pretty close, but I shop in their "plus and larger size" area, where more things come in at least a few different sizes. I do have one dress that came and it's almost too short to be a SHIRT.
bluecheese Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 You should stand naked in front of your cat. Also, yes. pinkrobot, bfat, pim and 1 other 4

asleepawake Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 This begs the question: Should I be embarrassed about knowing just as much about fashion as my cat? As much as your cat knows about fashion, or as much as you know about your cat?
champagne Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Unless your cat is really fashionable, I say yes. Good news! He's an avant-garde genius!
champagne Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 As much as your cat knows about fashion, or as much as you know about your cat? Yeah, sorry. That was awkward syntax. The former. Though it might be just as sad if it was the latter.
