It's no big deal if you're shut out one year--the main thing is to exploit that as an opportunity to get a handle on what you can do to improve your application, fill up gaps, and so on. I'm convinced that the broad faculty input I sought out (and received) played a huge role in helping me use the mere 7 months or so to maximum effect. And always aim high!

Also, in case anyone else here is looking for a way to pep me up, who wants to take the gre for me? Just thinking about retaking that goddamn test is making me teary-eyed.

ETS is satan's layer, and I don't wanna go back. Also congrats Concert!!!!!! Just don't look at our weather. The university is great.

Oh, then I do recognize you I'm still waiting to hear from a couple of schools so I need a bit more time to decide whether to attend or not, but I feel quite inclined to Minnesota at the moment. I hope you make it in at Minnesota, and I think you have a good chance as 20/21C waitlist seems to be more dynamic than other waitlists. Good luck!

I'm not too disappointed, though, because I am extremely excited about what I will be doing instead: completely ROCKING a 2-year funded M.A. at a school, in a place, and with people I know and love, after which I'll get to do this whole thing over again!
