mattecon Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 The fear is that the lag is a posting lag and not a staggering of emails :/
Doorkeeper Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) Welp. I assume Columbia is done. Who wants to wager when HYP start to move? I'm thinking Y and P will both be next week and H will be the last week of Feb or first week of March. Edited February 10, 2015 by Doorkeeper
Evgeny55 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I also wonder whether they sent all e-mails simultaneously, but I think we will know today anyway, since somebody posted rejection.
giselle baron Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I also wonder whether they sent all e-mails simultaneously, but I think we will know today anyway, since somebody posted rejection. Rejections might come later. I suppose the one who entered that rejection has called Columbia since the way of communication is indicated as phone. Yet, because there is a waitlist post I am inclined to think that acceptances are over. Congrats guys!
slacktivist Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Per the Minnesota graduate program coordinator, all decisions will be released via ApplyYourself either today or tomorrow.
Iul Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Per the Minnesota graduate program coordinator, all decisions will be released via ApplyYourself either today or tomorrow. Political Science or Public Affairs?
Robes Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Anyone got news from UC Irvine? Last year they sent out decisions from the 7th of February. I tried to contact them but my attempt has been pretty disregarded..
souwant2bcliche Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Think Pitt is finished sending out notices? :/
esotericish Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Per the Minnesota graduate program coordinator, all decisions will be released via ApplyYourself either today or tomorrow. it's pretty sadistic of them to put "decision made" on ApplyYourself in then wait to tell everybody.
Evgeny55 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Reject from Columbia. Sad, but still 6 more schools to go.
poliscigoat Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Reject from Columbia. Sad, but still 6 more schools to go. Did you get an email or call?
Evgeny55 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I called. They told me that all admitted students have already been notified. GSAS should e-mail rejections tomorrow. fakeusername and poliscigoat 2
Doorkeeper Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I called. They told me that all admitted students have already been notified. GSAS should e-mail rejections tomorrow. Well at least they have the decency to be quick about it. Kudos to them. *leers menacingly at Chicago*
Evgeny55 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Well at least they have the decency to be quick about it. Kudos to them. *leers menacingly at Chicago* I agree. It is much better to receive rejection than wait indefinitely for the decision.
ZajoncSays Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Well at least they have the decency to be quick about it. Kudos to them. *leers menacingly at Chicago* So, Chicago has a second round of admissions into their 1 year master's program in the Social Sciences and everyone who applied to PhD programs in the social sciences is often considered for admission to the MA program. Knowing this might not help much, but they aren't just holding rejections for no reason.
slacktivist Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Is anyone still waiting to hear from Northwestern?

Just send me your pre-filled regrets, I think this is a much more merciful action after two consecutive applications to the same school.
slacktivist Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Caved in and called Northwestern. They have not made all of their decisions yet. They will make them in two weeks.
GomSaem (Bear Teacher) Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I just spoke with a friend that was admitted at Minnesota. He thinks that "Decision Made" without an email from the dept. already is likely a rejection. Of course we won't be certain until tomorrow.
StillllllWaiting Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Anyone got news from UC Irvine? Last year they sent out decisions from the 7th of February. I tried to contact them but my attempt has been pretty disregarded.. I'm waiting on them. I thought it would be last week but still nothing.
Robes Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I'm waiting on them. I thought it would be last week but still nothing. I'm afraid the new deadline will delay decisions. Still, I'd like to know why the 15th Dec was moved by a month. Too few applications? StillllllWaiting 1

ajayghale Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I called. They told me that all admitted students have already been notified. GSAS should e-mail rejections tomorrow. So, should we call UCLA?
