I get that.  I was so happy when I got waitlisted for my 2nd choice school.  I hope you get in!  I would definitely contact them to express a continued interest in their program.  They'll want to know who has already accepted elsewhere and who is still wanting to attend their program I would think.

They had a letter I should mail back with my info, but would it be better to call/e-mail? Or do both lol? I'm still waiting to hear back from my top 2, so the wait still feels totally nerve wracking.

Can you send the letter back along with a nice handwritten note saying how much you like the program and want to go to the school? Maybe mention that you've enjoyed taking your prereqs there?

I never got any correspondence from UVA, but a link appeared at the bottom of my status review page.

They didn't want me either.

I have four chances left now, and there goes any hope of me getting my homework done tonight.

Hey everybody just a general question. Are the representatives that answer e-mails about the program on the admissions team, or are they just administrative assistants? For example at two of my schools the person who replies back title is graduate admissions advisor and the other is graduate admissions coordinator. Just wanted to make sure I'm asking the right people about the admissions decisions.

I normally check the website to make sure I'm talking to someone high up in admissions. I've gotten a few people before who were just on the administrative side and they didn't know as much (understandably).

Hey there! This isn't related at all but I saw in your signature that you're taking pre-reqs through Longwood and so am I! Which ones are you in right now? I'm in 3 and have one more to take during the summer depending on if/where I end up going.

How can you tell if they're on admissions? I would think that program coordinator would have some part in admissions since they're in charge of courses and all...

Speech Science (with the WORST professor ever, she doesn't answer questions and her directions are always vague. I should have had an A on an assignment but some of her instructions were vague, so I didn't submit a picture in the right place and got a C instead.), and Phonological Disorders.

If I get into UofMaryland I'll have to take the Neuro class, but I don't know if I'll take it with Longwood or just in person at Maryland. I'd have to take a different class there during the summer too.

Normally it says their title under their name. Or the program page will have a contact person somewhere on the site. I guess it varies from program to program.

Puffer Fish, let me know if you get into UMD!  I'll be there in the fall.  I'm taking neuro now through UWEC online, and it's not too bad.  The teacher is really supportive and does his best to make the material accessible to everyone.  Also, open book exams .  You should be able to take it at Maryland though, your first semester if that works better for you though.  Good luck to you, and everyone else who is still waiting to hear back!

Anyone else apply to Longwood? Last year they sent out letters on the last day of their spring break, which is March 11th this year, and they said the latest they would send out letters is the 15th. I'm so nervous! It doesn't help that I'll be out of town for a week around this time so I won't get to know anything until the 19th!

Haha ! I love this, this is exactly how I feel refreshing this page, my email, my portals. Luckily (or unluckily) the weekend is upon us and after tonight we can stop the refreshing chaos until Monday i suppose?? *more sighs*

@BamaBelle I know! I keep seeing emails from random websites I signed up to for shopping discounts. I get excited and then all I see is an email from Groupon.
