fernandes Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I've applied to Rice University and Texas A&M. Haven't heard back from A&M yet.

EESpeechie Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Just got an email from TCU. Got rejected Hopefully others have good new!
Gracie0823 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Has anyone heard from Texas State? I know they sent out a few "rejection emails" but not sure if they've sent out anything else.
diana. Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Has anyone heard anything from Baylor? Doesn't look like many people on the forum applied there except me and @slptex007!
j_rae Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 @diana. I applied! I haven't heard anything back though, either.

But then again, I feel a little better knowing that I'm not the only one anxiously awaiting; maybe they just send all of their decisions later in the month. I've seen people on this forum who have heard from a few of my other schools, and it's actually torture knowing that they've been in touch with them and not me . Hopefully we both receive good news when we finally hear from them! slptex007 1

kellyfussman Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 For UT Austin applicants: "Thank you for applying to the graduate school of Communication Science and Disorders program at the University of Texas. You will be receiving an email notification next week, at the very latest March 18 (we are shooting for Monday or Tuesday). We apologize as the admissions process is taking longer than expected. Thank you for your patience. Please don’t hesitate to call my office with any questions you may have."

I'm really interested in the developmental stuttering lab with Dr. Byrd. I worked on a case study for preschool age stuttering and it was fascinating.

I am very interested in the bilingual labs. Dr. Peña and Dr. Bedore are gurus! I'd also love to be involved in a lab for language disorders in adults. My clinical practicums have proven to me that I'm just not meant to work with children. Haha.
hopefulspeechie16 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I'm interested in the speech production lab. But yes, Dr. Pena was very helpful when I spoke with her at the info day.
megleemac Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Has anyone heard from University of Houston or Texas State?
hopefulspeechie16 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 @kellyfussman did you get an email last week from Austin about admissions being delayed? I see you've been accepted (congrats!!) but I'm just wondering if the e-mail was only sent to those of us still waiting today.
