I know it's still early but it's starting to become a little discouraging seeing everyone else get into at least one school and still not hearing anything back. I thought I would have gotten in somewhere by now. Anyone else also in this position? :(

I think that there are still a fair bit of people in your situation! I know that according to the results page from last year, none of the schools that I applied to will be sending out acceptances until later in March, so your situation could be the same! Don't get discouraged!

Me! Though I have gotten waitlists/rejections so far, it sucks not having had any acceptances yet. And I went through the same thing last year, waiting for most responses until mid-late March. Don't get discouraged-- A LOT of schools don't send out decisions until March has gotten underway. I was surprised by how many schools started earlier this year. It sucks waiting, but remember you WILL get a response eventually :)

Thanks guys! There's a couple of my schools thats have sent out acceptances and I haven't heard anything which is the reason I've gotten so stressed out . Even hearing back for a waitlist would be better than this limbo of not knowing!

I know exactly how you feel! Seeing acceptances for some of the schools I've applied to and not hearing anything is a bit discouraging and very stressful! Hopefully we hear something soon

I feel ya! This is my second time around applying and I still haven't heard from any schools. It's absolutely terrifying and totally stressful

Which schools are you specifically waiting to hear back from? The ones I've seen acceptances for but haven't heard myself yet are NYU and Temple. I wish it was socially acceptable to call them and ask if I'm in or not!

I'm in the same boat! Two wait lists and an interview. Still waiting for five schools though, which hopefully I will be hearing from soon! This waiting game is brutal. Hoping for some good news for us soon! :)

Don't fret! A majority of schools notify in March, and mid-late March seems to be the time in which most schools notify applicants. Many schools (hint, hint), like to notify the Friday before their spring break starts. Not a hard and fast rule, but it's a trend of some schools. Last year I had a friend who applied to schools that all had March 1st deadlines, so she was really in for a long wait! A friend of mine applying for Fall also hasn't had an acceptance yet, although she did have a waitlist and a rejection.

In the meantime, try not to worry about it! Don't bother contacting the schools because they will do it when they do it. Delaying gratification is a thing, and it will feel so good once you finally get confirmation that you're going to grad school.

Best of luck! It's a hard process, but you're not alone. This forum represents a very small, skewed sample of people applying to graduate programs in SLP as well, so remember that!

I am so scared. Every single time I get an email on my phone at work I nearly fall out. There is nothing in the portal, no emails. I've checked spam and everything else. Feeling so overwhelmed.

Posted

I have one rejection and one wait list so far and I can't stop checking the portals and my emails. I'm supposed to be hearing back from a few schools in the next two weeks so I'm nervous as ever!

To not even get an interview for schools you know have started the process is very discouraging.

As I have stated, no news is not always good news.

I have still have not heard anything from the 5 schools I applied to either.

Mid-March is a popular time for a lot of schools to send out admissions decisions so we should all be hearing back soon! I hope everyone hears good news :)

I am still waiting on four schools as well! Hoping to hear some good news this week, otherwise waiting for hopeful spots on a waitlist is going to be another long couple of months! Hope you guys hear good news as well!

I just heard back from GWU that I was waitlisted. I am refreshing my email all the time. I heard a lot of schools go to spring break next week so hoping that by friday I have some news!

Hey guys! Thanks for the encouraging words. Since I posted this I have been accepted to one school and waitlisted to another. I hope all of you get good news soon if you haven't already!

I have heard from nowhere yet. No acceptances, rejections, or waitlists! So disappointing and anxiety inducing.

Also waiting for at least one acceptance.. rejections so far. Will see! Good luck everyone!

Where did you apply?

I see your from NY, like myself.

@Arcanelady27 I applied kinda all over, but only on the east coast. Farthest north was Boston and south was Univ of Delaware. In NY, I applied to Hofstra, NYU (rejected) and Columbia. Out of field applicant - Broadcast Journalism major, did the beauty/fashion PR scene in NYC but that was crazy haha. Only two pre-reqs under my belt, but now taking four. Been interning for over a year though. Will see what happens, but already looking for ways to beef up my app for next year!

What about you?

@MrsHMe too! I graduated from Hofstra concentrating in PR. I hated t!

Did my second BA in SLP at Lehman College. I have a MS degree from the College of New Rochelle.

I have only applied to schools in my signature.

Can I ask when you got rejected from NYU? I still haven't heard anything from them
