How many times is it appropriate to follow up with an admissions coordinator? I haven't heard back from my last email on a timeline for decisions

I've been waiting on one since last month and I've since called twice and emailed twice, each time with a response that they would get back to me soon. Sigh. I don't think it's too much to ask at least once a week if they haven't held up on their end?

Every single time I get an email notification, I'm like, "this could be it; this could be the email that changes my life." Instead, it's some newsletter that I've forgotten to unsubscribe from.

Let us know our fate, programs!

This literally made me LOL

SO TRUE!!!!!! Hahahahahaha

I literally still haven't heard from UCLA and they said decisions would be out no later than the end of this week. Well, it's 9:30 eastern and 6:30 pacific so it's officially the end of this week. I don't know what to do anymore :(

I'm feeling the same.

I called one of my schools and they said they are still reviewing and it'd be mid-April before acceptances went out. I asked two weeks ago, and they said "no later than the first week of March"

What's the general hold up?! I mean it's not just one school. It's multiple. Is this new political environment really going to screw us, like everyone warned?

"Mid-April" as in...around April 15th when we are supposed to make official acceptances? Political climate aside...it seems a bit unfair.

Agree, @JSnow!  It's interesting that some schools appear to have been affected, while others not at all.  So I'm wondering if it might just not be inside departmental stuff....     For example, some schools appear to be good at issuing acceptances/rejections, but without providing details on funding, which still makes it impossible to make a decision.... From what I hear, that was frequently the case with that department at that school (i.e. it's not related to the political climate).  Sigh.

I applied for Epi PhD at Tulane, but haven't heard from them. Anyone got acceptance or rejection?

Hello Teddy1024, I have been accepted to Tulane Epi PhD. I got a phone call in January, visited in early Feb but only just got the official acceptance letter on March 2. I don't have any information on whether they have selected other students. Sorry! Get in touch with me when you know more!

Edit: I will also say that the Chair has been out of the office so that is slowing some paperwork. I haven't received my financial offer in writing yet!

What schools are folks still waiting on?

I'm still waiting on Minnesota. They emailed me a while ago saying they are waiting to hear back regarding a grant before they make admission decisions. However they also said they won't know about the grant until closer to/after April 15th. So I'm not really taking them into account as I make my decision.

It's spring break, so that might affect their availability.
