Well, from Results page I can see they usually send out interview inventation on late December, so I am pretty sure I will get rejection email on Feb. futuregradstudent1923 1

In the email, the director says she tries to make time to talk to all of the applicants, so the language is very casual and it doesn't sound like an official interview request. Any insight appreciated!

It was a generic email saying that I would be contacted by a faculty member in the coming days and that the interview should be complete by 1/22. Edited January 13, 2017 by ugggggh

From last year's forums, it looks like applicants were notified at the very end of January.

Expand @higheredbee For UCLA I applied for the MA in HEOC, so I'm assuming MA decisions will be released after PhD decisions. Good luck! I'm thankful to have heard from one school (and trying to focus on getting ready for the interview) but also wishing I'd hear from others soon.

I wasn't able to interact with any professors there before applications were due, but my focus is adult education and social justice, so I just named everyone who I thought would be a good fit in my SOP. I'm interested to see if it is one of those professors who conducts the interviews. hopefulPhD2017 1

Expand Not necessarily. Some programs don't do interviews. Last year I was accepted to a program and did not have an interview.
