Is anyone else waiting to hear from Notre Dame HPS? I saw there were two posted rejections on here from last Friday, but nothing since then. Has anyone else heard?

Anyone find it odd there's no word from Tufts yet? Seems like they're usually out by this time, from what I've heard/read across graduate circles and the internet.

Yes. My guess is they are moving down the alphabet. But, I don't really know. They sure are taking awhile to dole out rejections this time around.

Rejected at Stanford - was told by Friedman I wasn't a good fit but wanted to try anyway.

Welp, got my UBC rejection. This one really hurts. I had a great relationship with my person of interest and they personally emailed me my rejection. I'm honestly kind of shocked that I didn't even make the MA program, let alone a wait-list.

Interesting. I'm not sure I've ever heard of someone who was told that they were rejected based on fit.

That sucks. I'm sorry. I'm kinda surprised that your POI was the bearer of bad news that you were completely turned down.

Thanks. And they emailed me personally because I had done a lot to cultivate a relationship with them over the past year.

Well he didn't tell me I was rejected because of fit. I wrote to Friedman asking him if I would be a good fit at the department and he told me my interests in analytic metaphysics and philosophy of science is unlikely to fit well with the department's more historical interests - I just assumed it was one big reason why I was rejected in the end.

Finally heard from Tufts: I didn't get in. It was my first choice for MA's, but I'm okay with the rejection since I'm in at Brandeis. 

MA/MS: 3a/0w/1r out of 5
PhD: 0a/0w/2r out of 3
Still waiting to hear from Boston College.

Got my "official" rejection from UBC today. Also solicited a response from Simon Fraser and am rejected as well. So long, Vancouver!

Dang. Tufts doesn't fund their students well, so you're better off somewhere else! (Though, Brandeis doesn't fully fund either, do they?)

Thanks, UBC was/still is my dream school but it looks like for now it's Brandeis for me (they have offered some funding with the potential for more). I suppose I will complete a MA in philosophy and then reapply from a better position.

Thanks. Brandeis offered me a decent aid package, including a TAship, so I'm pretty happy with it.
