Right? this is an actual real question i'm currently pondering. perhaps there is no way to do it. but it's not fair when you have to take your time out of the day to re-explain or re-hash something to them multiple times because they don't understand an assignment and you have no choice but to walk them through it because you're stuck as their partner.

it's only been the first day of the new semester and i'm already piled with a ton of work. surprisingly, i'm actually quite looking forward to it.

first semester of grad school is finally done! and now to get the heck out of this weather and back home to sunny california!

my landlord tells me absolutely no male guests allowed overnight, and now she's asking me if i'd be okay to live with one, because another tenant left and she needs to fill her room. umm hypocritical much?

i thought all the same things...and i guess it's also cuz my roommates were also the ones who said no overnight male guests allowed...they just didn't like the idea of one of us having a boyfriend coming to sleepover every night ever week every month without paying rent. but that's not going to be a problem for me, i just have male friends (completely platonic) who might want to visit, and they all say no to that, which i think is whack as all hell.

after several weeks and a countless number of emails later to no avail, i finally get 2 replies back asking when i'd like to schedule a viewing. apartment hunting, you're the devil himself.

@ahlatsiawa yeah i'd get going if i were you. idk how bad Syracuse gets, but if you check the City Guide forum and look for a Syracuse thread to help you out. The Cambridge/Boston thread really helped me out. Lucky for me, at least people on this site were super friendly and helpful when I reached out to them...way more helpful than the stupid real estate agents I've encountered...

Turned down SFSU's MA English program. This sort of really makes me sad, because I love the Bay and want to live in Northern California again so badly but oh well. The east coast is calling me. Maybe someday, San Francisco, we shall meet again.
