Do you need a completed bachelor's degree or any other type of certification to work as a newborn hearing screener?

Most of the schools that I have emailed, have told me that there is no way of them deterring the likelihood of me getting accepted with my stats. I'm not sure what to think of this response.

Can anyone provide more info on this school?

From what I've heard most professors use very similar formatted letters for each school and just change a bit here and there.

I come from a school quite famous for grade deflation as well. I'm not sure if it's worth mentioning that in my SOP. I don't want to make it seem like an excuse but at the same time it is a reality.

I feel like this year's thread is a bit low-key compared to other years. How is everyone's applications going?

Did you take the GRE recently? I feel like a handful of people I know that have taken it in the last few months have gotten some really low scores, not sure what to point fingers at... I would encourage you to apply this year, give it your best shot. If you've already taken the GRE twice chances are your scores won't drastically change.

Does anyone have more info on the program? Or living in El Paso? I'd like to apply but am not sure.

I was wondering if it would be okay to list some of my high school honors and extra curriculars on CSDCAS or is just college stuff?

I'm in a very similar position as you. I have some unique experiences that have gotten me on the news and I've done an honors study. My GPA and GRE are just like yours. I hope that schools will look beyond these numbers and accept us for our passion and experiences in the field.

Do you think they're GPA focused? I'm hoping to get in but my GPA is not that great tbh.

A little off topic but are the schools you listed below the ones you got accepted to? I so do you mind if I PM you for some advice? I'm applying to most of the same ones you did.

Uni of Washington is not competitive? I find that hard to believe since it's in the top 3. Are you sure about that one?

Apparently West Coast schools are harder to get into? I'm applying to SDSU and UW also. Although both of them are a far reach.

Out of curiosity did the family friend end up getting in after doing that? I guess it depends on what schools your planning to apply to.

I've seen a lot of people applying to east coast schools but just wanted to reach out to any west coasters?

If you're applying for Fall 2016 have you thought of schools you want to apply too? Perhaps taking a year off to figure out what you really want to do, might be helpful.

I'm in the same boat as you! Hopefully someone can help us out. Right now application costs are a problem for me especially with the exchange rate.
