  1. I'd also like to add to the above question. Do the grades you get in the basic science courses greatly affect your chances of admission or certification from ASHA?
  2. So let's say your doing a double major like speech and psychology and your overall average for the two majors is low but your average for all the speech courses is high. Would you still have a good chance or is overall GPA and last 60 units really important?
  3. I'd really like to go to grad school in california, but Vanderbilt in Tennessee has a great program. So I just wanted to know how difficult it is to transfer to a different state after completing grad school in another one? When you graduate are you licensed for that state or can you choose where to do your cfy and get your license?

  8. Does U of T have a COMD major? I know they have a few courses in SLP but idk if that counts. Also I heard SDSU has a lot of crime not sure if that's true...
  9. Yes that helps! Thanks for all the answers.
  10. I was just wondering whether job prospects would be better for someone who went to a highly ranked/ well-known school like NorthWestern, MGH, Columbia, etc than someone who went to a smaller state school that was in the top 30 for SLP?
  11. Also to add to that how much of the tuition do they reimburse?
  12. For the classes you put n/a for, did they later ask you for the grades of those courses since those were part of the last 60 credit hours?
  13. SFSU also accepts nearly a 100 grad students, which is nice.
  14. By last 60 credit hours do they mean the last 60 you completed at the time of applying or the last 60 of your undergraduate career?
  15. Yes I've done both. But I was looking at the program stats such as passing the PRAXIS and completion of the program on time and the percentages are quite low compared to most other schools. http://www.sfsu.edu/~comdis/faq.html#faq5
  16. I'd like to go to San Fran but the schools there aren't that great quality wise.
  17. Hey Lisa19, do you know the tuition cost for Teachers College? Also, are there any good schools in San Francisco for speech?
  18. Yes I have. They do have an on-campus clinic I forget what it's called..
  19. Hi, I wanted to get some feedback on anyone that knows about or is in the Speech program at SDSU. Is it school focused, med focused, or both?
  20. Does anyone have any input of SFSU? Like is it more school based or medical?
  21. Does anyone know which Cali schools have more of a medical focus?
  22. Any reviews on U of A? I'm planning to apply but wasn't sure how much the tuition was.
