    Can anyone comment on the weather in Dallas? I'm from the North East so I'm pretty used to bad weather haha.

    @kellyfussman did you get an email last week from Austin about admissions being delayed? I see you've been accepted (congrats!!) but I'm just wondering if the e-mail was only sent to those of us still waiting today.

    In a way yes, but it is a sign that the school is really taking their time and not fishing their applicants by 4.0s and 160s.

    @gradgirl2016 my friend is an international applicant that applied to the same Texas schools. Do you know if they accept internationals or favor domestic/American applicants?

    @Kavro are you still waiting on Dallas? I am too. I know some people were rejected so I guess we're on an unofficial waitlist?

    Exactly! It's really puzzling and makes me wonder if the LORS, SOP, and resume of the application has something to do with.

    I'm interested in the speech production lab. But yes, Dr. Pena was very helpful when I spoke with her at the info day.

    So I e-mailed ASHA and they said that edfind is updated every summer and fall with recent data from the past application round. Funny thing is how some top schools mention on edfind that they accepted people with below the average scores for GPA and GRE. Can anyone comment?

    UT seems very research focus. Was there a research lab you guys were interested in working in?

    My GRE scores are low but I've taken it twice know and nothing changed I just ended up studying more only to get a disappointment in the end. I don't get how or why these standardized tests are being used to judge success in graduate school. I didn't know we needed to solve for X in SLP.

    WHAT DO THESE SCHOOLS WANT? You could literally be the president of the U.S. and still get rejected.

    On that note, how easy is it to go work in a different state than where you went to grad school? I know there's some paperwork, but is it a relatively long and difficult process?

    That was really helpful! Thanks! All I've heard about Syracuse was that it snows a lot there (wasn't really helpful) I heard students were placed in NYC for practicum though.

    How can you tell if they're on admissions? I would think that program coordinator would have some part in admissions since they're in charge of courses and all...

    Hey everybody just a general question. Are the representatives that answer e-mails about the program on the admissions team, or are they just administrative assistants? For example at two of my schools the person who replies back title is graduate admissions advisor and the other is graduate admissions coordinator. Just wanted to make sure I'm asking the right people about the admissions decisions.

    Has anyone heard back from them lately? They haven't been responding to my emails or anything. They didn't even confirm my interview... what is going on?
