    We all know Skype interviews can be suppppppeeerrrrr awkward, but we all will probably have to do at least one because we aren't made of money. I have a Skype interview at my top choice school because the flight was going to cost me around $1,000 and that's if I took a stupid red eye and got ready in the air port, went right there and then came home immediately after. I really want them to see my personality and how much I really want to go to this school. Anyone have any advice or pointers?

    For my school that I am doing a Skype interview, we have to write an essay and take a picture or scan it to them.. :[

    Does anyone know if Syracuse is rolling out a couple phone interview invites..? I think they've done that the past two years (so I don't want to lose hope) but I didn't receive a phone interview the first round...

    I've heard from schools that you have to take it before entering a program. Some programs may accept you with the contingency of taking a program the summer before. Good luck!

    Hi! I received an invite as well. Unfortunately they have changed their interviews so much over the years I don't know what to expect. It seems like every year something is different. I know there is a writing portion and most likely a group and individual interview.

    I received an invitation for interview at California State University, San Marcos yesterday via email. To my knowledge, almost 400 applications were received and 100 were offered interviews.

    I'm not sure. You may want to go through the university when the time comes. I found that the FAFSA only got me so far but I received a lot more support/ options when I went through the financial aid of the school.

    If you feel like this is your #1 pick, I'd go out there for sure. But I know for sure they don't hold it against you if you do Skype. They wouldn't offer it if it wasn't okay! Goo d luck!

    Phone interviews are late feb to early march and then acceptances are after that!

    Hey! I haven't applied there but my best friend applied and got an interview from there last year. She said the interview was just personal questions and basic even (What does your weekend normally consist of?). be yourself! They really just want to get to know you

    I agree with you. I've been told by multiple people in speech departments that they like the "off track, out of field applicants"
