    I am still waiting to hearback on 4 schools (they wont get back till mid to late jan) but ive recieved one formal interview. Above everything, research fit is the most important. My gre quant score is below the 40 percentile but i still got an interview at a top 5 school because the fit was good and my letters of rec were very strong.

    Yeah, but it tends to be dominated by social psychology people if I am being honest.

    I thought I would start a thread for us that applied to developmental psych programs! I thought this would be a good space to air our stress and see what invites have been sent out! I applied to the following schools and so far got an invite to UCLA for their interview/campus visit weekend: UCLA (invite to interview weekend) Temple University (pending) NYU (pending) Northwestern (pending - Human Development and Social Policy) Where else have people heard :)? Sending good vibes and luck!

    Heard formally back from a POI at UCLA! Got a formal invite! School: University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) Track and/or specialization within psychology program: Developmental Interview type: Campus Visits / In-person interview Date: February 2nd - 3rd

    Hey everyone, I just got off the phone with a POI at UCLA for the developmental psychology program. We had a nice chat (if not a little scattered). However, he didnt mention anything about formal interviews, but seemed to like the conversation. Is it typical to recieve a formal invite during this type of conversation or should I expect that during a post-email (or not at all)? Just wanted to get thoughts/ others experiences!!
