I was offered less than 10k funding a year - is it worth asking for more?
-
I'm sure the admissions blog will start again soon when it is time. It's an incredible resource really, no other school I applied to comes close! They're probably just very very very busy, which makes me supremely unconfident in my chances. ?
-
I really think 100k is too much, especially if you intend to go into government service due to the low-ish salaries. Oxford is excellent too! What is the price difference?
-
I really wouldn't take on 100k in debt to attend Georgetown though...
-
That definitey makes things harder for you! Do you want to remain in the US afterwards? Or do you have another destination in mind?
-
To me IHEID seems like the clear winner, congratulations! Why are you doubting that offer? ?
-
So curious to see how it all works this year, even if I don't get in! I'd be open to deferring for a year if needed, but I can only imagine how that went down last year!
-
Are deferments likely to be a thing this year, or was that just specific to the challenges of last year?

This is just so awful and I'm so sorry that you are dealing with this! I I don't really have any advice but I just wanted to say good luck and I hope you make it to Ann Arbor one way or another. I had a similar experience with a MA/PhD acceptance to Michigan State years ago. I was accepted but then they said my UK 3-year degree didn't meet the requirements... I didn't attend for a few different reasons. -
It is extremely unlikely that results will come out tomorrow. There is no evidence to suggest that. You can keep updated with the results process by following the admissions blog here: https://hksadmissionblog.tumblr.com/ They usually do a series of posts leading up to the big day. The blog says late March.

Does anyone know if GWU Elliott negotiates on funding? I'm also considering declining an offer or two. Is it too early to do that really?
-
That's so lovely and exciting to hear!
-
That makes sense! Yes, I don't think there were informal notices this year. @PupCakes how are you finding the program?
-
Does anyone else find it weird that in a two page admission letter there are literally just two lines that hint at congratulations, and there's like no info about the school or the program itself? Does that come later?
-
GWU is a really good school and usually ranks above American. Congratulations on your offers!
-
Oh to be wealthy enough to attend a program like this without aid! Congratulations to those who got scholarships, that is an amazing achievement. I'd love to know who the McHenry scholars are, they must be the best of the best.
-
I also don't see any mention of funding in the letter. What a crazy, crazy cycle - congratulations and commiserations all!
-
In too!
-
I thought it was going to be 4:30pm today, but evidently not.
-
I see an SSP reject on the portal from today, and an SSP admit from last week. Congratulations to whoever got 40% from SSP! still nothing from msfs so far
-
We haven't had any of the blog posts that they do either. I really don't think it will be this week.
-
Y'all are crazy.?
-
Consensus here so far is that it will arrive a bit later in the month, but who knows. The blog says 'decisions will be released in late March'.

St Andrews is a nice place to study!

That's my current plan! And 50k is the most I want to take on. ? Security Policy Studies at GWU & IPCR at SIS.
