    It's still possible! You may not have gotten an interview invite in the first round but you haven't received any rejections so it's possible you may still get an interview. I also don't know what programs you applied to but it is important to have some range in schools and make sure you tailor your personal statement to each school and the specific faculty you would like to work with. If it doesn't happen this round, don't fret! Good luck

    Thank you for the advice! I'll try to keep all that in mind. I am travelling and I haven't been on a plane in a long time so I'm hoping that doesn't throw me off my game. On the flip side, maybe the flight will allow me to get all my nervous energy out before I get there. Fingers crossed...

    I live in New England/Boston area and while it has been brutally cold, we haven't gotten any snow since Thursday. It is very likely that offices were closed in Boston on Thursday and that people either worked form home or not at all. So it's possible admissions got a bit disturbed but probably not by much. Us New Englanders are tough Now, if you're asking whether or not it's okay to email talking specifically about the weather because of your interests then honestly I'm not sure. I would say hold off and use it as a talking point if you interview.

    Can seeming overly excited about an interview be a bad thing? Also, does anyone have any advice on how to deal with an interview that's essentially two days long? One day formal, the rest informal with students.

    I actually applied to the behavioral, psychiatric, statistical genetics program. I was applying to their behavioral neuroscience but I felt the faculty in the other track were a better fit for me. Unfortunately I haven't seen anything other than what you have. I keep checking though and my application still just says submitted.

    I've only heard from one and it's driving me crazy! I'm only positive that one other school I applied to has sent out interview invites though. I hate this feeling uncertainty and through all my scouring of this forum I haven't found people applying to most the programs I applied to so I have no idea if I will ever know whether or not it's time to worry until it's too late

    I tried not to freak out too much last week because I assumed most people were on vacation the week between Christmas and New Years. Now it's Friday of the first week back and I'm starting to get nervous...Ahh! I'm sick of not sleeping because of anxiety who else feels this way?

    Not yet! Last year it looks like interviews went out in December and January, so they will probably be out soon.

    If your neuroscience programs are through the psych program this might be relevant to you! That's why I'm here, most of mine are through psych departments. With that being said, I applied to the neuro program at Marquette and their deadline isn't until January 15th. I'm not sure what your research interests are though.     I'm sure it's fine! Phone interviews are awkward because you don't get social cues from body language. I wouldn't worry!

    Sorry, I'm just realizing we might be talking about two different schools. I thought you were talking about the University of Washington but I think you are actually talking about Washington University in St. Louis? My mistake! There are so many schools with similar names. If that is the school you are talking about it looks like the interview dates are January 12th and 26th (http://dbbs.wustl.edu/prospstudents/PhDAdmissions/Pages/PhDAdmissions.aspx) Sorry
