  1. hey, congrats! what course did you get it for? Also, as far as I can gauge, NYU tuition depends on the number of credits in a certain course. That makes courses like MSPP pretty costly.
  2. Anybody got aid? Congrats in advance!
  3. Hey guys, financial aid decisions are updated on the application page!
  4. Hey! Was it for Gleitsman Fellowship, or another under CPL? Do all CPL fellowships have interviews around the same time? Thankyou so much for your update!
  5. Results updated on the portal! I’m accepted too! No funding info yet. Congratulations guys!
  6. Today is the national festival of colours in India so we are celebrating anyways Good luck to you all!
  7. Still no news from NYU! It’s odd because there has been NO communication from them since the submission of application & forwarding to the committee. I wish they’d keep us more posted.
  8. Oh, good luck with your interview! Any one got updates on Gleitsman Fellowship under CPL?
  9. Check out this thread. It claims admits came out to some people as per some source: https://forum.thegradcafe.com/topic/93459-2017-2018-application-cycle/?page=99&tab=comments#comment-1058569124
  10. I am not sure but someone on the forum claimed admit mails went out to a few people last week from HKS. Pretty confusing given the timeline says March.
  11. Just jumped on this thread, and the discourse makes me feel much less anxious in the same boat. I'm guessing fellowship interview mails go out around the same time as the admits. All the best to everyone! xx
  12. how much of a deal breaker is less than 2 years of work experience? with a good narrative in the essay and clear cut plans for career after HKS? is it advisable to send more LORs than asked for?
  13. ah, yes! applying by 1st december! is the fellowship application separate? does that happen post the application submission? good luck to you guys! xx
  14. If you are more than 2-3 years out of college, your performance professionally matters much much more than your GPA. Most schools don't even ask for an academic reference if you have been out of college too long. If you can explain why the GPA is low in the optional statement, it won't be a deal breaker as such. Your GRE is fine anyway. My question is: with this work experience you'd also be a fine candidate for MPA (at HKS, etc) if your quant is good. Why don't you consider that? Also, did you do any work related to public service before January 2015? if not, was the work done post that substantial enough?
  15. hey! was your place of graduation Delhi University? 1. In GRE, quant matters more for MPA. Yours is above 160 so should be safe. 3. Most top programs such as HKS, WWS, NYU, SIPA are internationally-oriented. Also depends on what you'd bring to the table. 4. Public sector work in private firms and/or corporate social responsibility engagement isn't looked down on in anyway. However, the focus of the firm and the personal motives behind working on that English learning product will matter. It could come under social entrepreneurship. Which firm was it? Also, your involvement with the organisation during college (was it Enactus?) will matter equally if not more for the applications. Make sure to explore those in the essays. You seem like a good candidate, and J-PAL definitely is an advantage. This was my two cents, good luck for your application!
