I'm deferred student and it says financial aid information will be released on Friday, March 16. They also have a new admit video which is better than last year's. 

The entire section at the bottom with a message is gone. The top left section to navigate messages also shows only “home” now, no “documents & messages” anymore. Anyone on the same boat?

Same here. It may have caused a flow of unnecessary/unwanted calls to financial aid counselors.

It could be, but IMHO it'd be a bad one for reasons other than their internal workflow: it creates confusion for candidates (they seem to take candidate experience very seriously given how much effort they put into the blog), and would likely result in lots of people bugging the counselors who aren't even going to get in. Wouldn't it be just as easy to not post any counselor info for anybody, and then post it for the admits once decisions come out? I can't imagine that taking much longer.
Unless this is the only way for counselors to get access to the contents of financial aid applications, I don't know why they'd need to do this. And we submitted our financial aid info through the same portal as the admissions app, not through MYFAID.

It says on pg 3 that the admissions answer will be given the week of march 12th. I am pretty sure it will be exactly the 14th.

Yes. They have only ASSIGNED the counselor; they haven’t put us in contact with the counselor. This means it’s a grouping technique not a filtering technique.

Haha so cute! That’s some investigative journalism level shit.. have you considered alternative career options?

Last year he ordered a 12-pack of Uni-Ball Onyx Rollerball pen to sign letters (check his Twitter on Feb. 23rd 2017). On Feb. 16th 2018, he wrote in his blog: "I also checked and found that I have decent supply of the pens I like to use to sign letters."
Therefore, he is not signing letters with that pen he posted today on Twitter. He will be using the Uni-Ball Onyx Rollerball pen.

As per my observation, it’s the MPA & MPA/ID applicants who have been updated with the counsellor. The MPP applicants are yet to be. This is also because both these courses have separate “teams” to handle it, & if you remember even the grievance redressal Email IDs were different for the two: MPP was appstatus@harvard while for MPA & MPA/ID it was something else.
So essentially, nothing to worry about I’m sure!

I'm in as well!! Congrats to all and hopefully the funding decisions are good!
Now the wait for the rest begins
PS: I'll be going for the admitted student activities, happy to share my experience with others who cannot make it and looking forward to hopefully meet some of you!

Earlier in the thread they said that it was for the Bacon Fellowship. AFAIK no one has said anything else about other CPL fellowships either way.

Hi @brown queer, it wasn't for the Gleitsman Fellowship. Unfortunately, I'm not sure about the timing of other fellowships, but I wouldn't be surprised if each one was on a different timeline. The selection committee was very specific to the topic area (environmental policy), so it's possible each unique selection committee is operating at their own pace. Good luck to you! 

Of course today is the day I have off of work so I’ve got nothing to distract me. 
I’m going to bake something. Maybe two somethings. Then at least I’ll have some cake whether or not the news is good. 

Harvard, for me, is a tumblr page right now: the HKS Admissions Blog. I guess it's the same for many of us. But how far further do you allow yourself to fantasize about ivy's number one? Do you see yourself on Harvard Square, browsing the shelves at the Coop, buying some discounted Harvard devotional objects? Attend The Game and cheer on the Crimson? Walk the stalls in Widener Library?
I don't. I only look as far as the tumblr page because I like to be cautious with these kinds of things. Many People tend to become excited, talk endlessly with friends about the 'what if's, start decorating their new Cambridge apartment in their heads and already have new imaginary Harvard classmates and inside jokes (creepy). I'm on the other end of that spectrum: I hardly told anyone about my application and tell myself that it's not going to happen anyways, just so the rejection pain can't get too crass.
How do you deal with life in this inbetween-space? Did you share your application on Facebook? Have you already put down money for a condo in Cambridge and stalked out the best coffee place along your morning stroll to HKS? Or are you as much an optimist as me and told noone so they can't rub it in your Harvard-wannabe face after Matt takes you behind the barn?
