Mine still says preliminary review required. I think your status means that the department is looking at your application. -
From what I read on the website a few months ago, all of those universities ^ are partnered with Munk. I also think there's one in Japan and Germany.

Wow! Thank you for the insight!! Do you by any chance know how they choose the 80 best out of those 750 applications? How easy is it to make friends and how are the courses?

It's very expensive! I don't know why funding is so limited I heard the max they give out is $5,000-10,000 but it's not common. At the open house I went to in the Fall an administrator there told a few people that if they want to go somewhere less expensive then NPSIA or GSPIA would be the right choice for them :/

In all honesty, I'm kind of shocked it's so competitive. NPSIA accepts more people and it is older and has a 'better' reputation than Munk. Not to mention they give out more funding. Obviously, I hope to get into Munk, but I'm still surprised it's considered the most competitive program to get into in Canada,

Do you think I should email them? I couldn't put down my final year average because I didn't get my fall grades back. I don't think I would be penalized because they can easily calculate it based on my transcript but still...

How many people here have completed an econ requirement? -
Fascinating! Other than Munk, I applied to the School of Public Policy and Governance, NPSIA, and I am in the process of applying to a European university

Does anyone have any info on the job prospects for those that graduate from Munk? I've done some research and I've noticed that although many graduates get internships at major international organizations (e.g. UN, World Bank, etc.) once they graduate they often work for small scale organizations or banks. Compared to NPSIA, many of the graduates go on working for Global Affairs Canada or other big-name departments or organizations.

Thanks for the reassurance. I got my grades back and I'm still at an A- average I guess I was just thinking very pessimistically ,

Applying to NPSIA for 2018

I'll be applying within the next few weeks and I am pretty nervous. My CGPA is an A- and my GPA is an A-. This semester was pretty shaky so I think my CGPA will be a B+. I studied abroad in Europe, have experience with the provincial and federal government in an area related to global affairs/policy, currently volunteering with an organization in the international organization field, and I am a fellow for a NGO related to peace and social justice. Do you think I have a shot with NPSIA? I am interested in the Global public policy stream. -
