Did you apply for ChemE or BioE PhD program?

I received offer from CMU Biomedical yesterday!

Any idea whether Boston BME has sent international admits too?

I have received an admit from Notre Dame on January 6.

CU Boulder are giving admits in a rolling fashion. They will keep giving admits till Feb 1st week. That's what one committee member told me.

Yes, that is what the status is showing. I have seen two posts in results section two days back.

Do anyone know whether UT Austin has released all the admits?

I mailed the graduate coordinator at UMich. She informed me they have sent the first round of admits. However, the committee will send a very small round of admits again. I guess this is for the waitlisted students, which is sent during April.

One of my friend is pursuing PhD under Prof. Victor, who is the graduate admissions chair at UW this year. This guy informed me that as ChemE dept offered large number of admits last year, they are offering less admits this year and the number is something around 12-15. He also informed that all the admits are released at this point of time.

Hey hi I applied to mostly ChemE and few bioE programs. My major is in ChemE. I am an international student from India. One of my labmates has already received an admit from UW Madison. Any idea whether the ChemE department at UW sends admits in a batch or they send admits periodically?

Hey when did you receive the admit from NCSU? Do you know whether they are done with sending admits for international students!

No decision from MIT and Cornell yet. But yea, I do feel that all admits have been sent.

No decision from UIUC (ChemBE), JHU (ChemBE), Cornell (ChemBE), UCLA (ChemBE), Duke (Biomedical), UWisc(MatSE).

I have applied for Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Dept. but haven't heard any decision yet.

I am an International student from India and have applied for the Ph.D. program in Chemical Engineering with a focus in drug delivery, nanomedicine and tissue engineering at MIT, University of Michigan, UPenn, UIUC, Cornell, JHU, UCLA. I have also applied for the Ph.D. program in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University and Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Wisconsin Madison. However, I have not heard back from any of the schools although many students have already received their admits. I am surprised that I have not received admit from any of the schools. Can anyone please help me with the same? I have the below-mentioned profile: B.E. (Chemical Engg): 8.72/10 (top tier university) M. Tech (Chemical Engg): 9.88/ 10 (IIT Bombay, topper) GRE: 323 (V: 153, Q: 170, AWA, 3.5) TOEFL (110) Presently working in Tata Steel R&D Research projects: 5 (1 junior year research project (published), Summer internship at IIT Kanpur (not published), B. Is it likely that they will send admits in Feb? Highly unlikely though!!

Hello everyone, Has anyone heard from MIT ChemE for PhD yet?

I will be applying for Ph.D. in chemical engineering in FALL'19. I have just received my TOEFL score and my overall score is 110. (R-28, L-30, S-23, W-29). However, in the university website of UIUC and UCLA, although the overall minimum score is 87, the cutoff for speaking section is 24. As you can see my overall score is much greater than the minimum requirement, but my speaking score is one mark less than the requirement. Will it interfere with my application process? Or should I need to retake the TOEFL again? Please let me know regarding the same.
