    I applied two years ago, and there was only a Skype interview. Not sure if that differs depending on your area of study, though.

    You may have already said this in part of the above conversation (I was skimming to catch up), but in case it hasn’t been said — have you asked your questions of the DGS or POI at the places you’re applying? It sounds like some people here are knowledgeable your program, but I still think it’s worth asking what you need to have a competitive application. Maybe a DGS will just point you to a list of minimum requirements to apply (not super helpful), but I was able to figure out what my GRE scores and language proficiencies actually needed to be to have a realistic shot in talking to a DGS.

    I’ve heard nothing from ND officially but got an email from a prof this afternoon that started with “I’m sure you’ve heard from the grad school by this point...” sooo maybe decisions will be out shortly??

    Whoops, totally missed everyone's "didn't get in" comments, re: Duke Div, before I asked if anyone had good news. Sorry, y'all! I was WLed. Can't win 'em all, I guess. As far as the scores, I was told Div admissions pulls them from those submitted to Duke University; I can see my scores, but I also applied to the GPR.

    Question: Do schools typically send an email when your application status changes in their application portal? I've been checking my application status for a few applications, but I saw people saying they had received emails telling them to check their status because it had recently changed -- so perhaps my checking regularly is unnecessary?

    Does that 8 include all subject areas??

    No idea. Last year, per a first-year GPR student, interview invitations went out on 1/27. Another person told me she thought they went out in February but wasn't quite sure. Seriously, though, I'm dying over here, i.e., refreshing my email entirely too often and hoping I haven't just been passed over.

    I got one for CJA/HB. Appreciate the info about when invitations would be coming!

    I'm hoping to do HB and haven't heard from CJA; another friend applied for NT and hasn't heard from ND either. Hoping that means interview invitations haven't gone out, but who knows. I thought I could be a good fit for CJA/ND, but perhaps they disagreed. (But I'm really hoping invites just haven't gone out yet...)
