karyotyping

For those who are currently students at LIU Post, can someone tell me who is part of the faculty there and what their positions are? I know Monika Zak is the new director but there’s not a lot on her on the website. I just want to prepare myself before my interview next week. Thank you!

I got a telephonic interview offer from Indiana University a few hours ago. I guess they sent it out now after finishing most of their in-person interviews. So if any of you are international applicants/applicants who cannot interview in-person - there is definitely still a chance! And maybe otherwise too! Point is don't give up on IU even if you haven't heard anything yet. 

i don't think many people apply casually..applications are expensive as is the GRE so i'm assuming that almost everyone who applies at least looks at program websites and sees that most schools only accept around 8-12 students/year. I feel like most people posting on here are just looking for a community of people we can relate to, because at least in my case i don't have any close friends or colleagues who are also applying for this program and i'm sure this is quite common. 
So in my opinion, it's hard to gauge how qualified people are based on whether or not they're posting on this forum. At the end of the day, qualified or not, many of us are just trying to connect with others and help each other out  Good luck to your person who is applying! I also know many people accepted into programs who only got one interview so # of invites doesn't mean much at the end of the day, just how well you connect with the interviewers at those interviews. 

Anyone else interviewing/has already interviewed at LIU Post?! I go March 9! 

A bit lost and confused here, looking to see if anyone else has been in the same boat.
I applied for a program last year that I got an interview with. I didn't get accepted or waitlisted, but in their rejection call they phrased it like "in the highly unlikely event that you don't get accepted elsewhere, we strongly encourage you to apply next year." Additionally, I phoned for feedback, and they informed me that all of my academia, advocacy, volunteer experiences were very strong and I was a great applicant.. but I could  improve on my interview skills a bit. Additionally they told me that they don't normally take students right out of uni so to try again next year. 
So I did, I applied to their program this year, and I didn't even get considered for an interview. Received a rejection email today. I'm lost as to what to think. 
Anybody else have this experience? I'm going to try to message the coordinator later in the year and ask for feedback, but I don't know if they'll even do that because they don't normally provide feedback unless you interviewed. 

Well, they must like their caffeine over at Hopkins because I just got an interview at 11:15 EST.

Two rejections, one day, get at me! I guess the brightside is that tomorrow is Valentine's Day, which means the day after is 50% off chocolate day....

LIU emails are going out now. I just received an interview invite!!! Dates are March 1, 2, 5, 6, 8 and 9.

YAY Mt. Sinai interview invite!! Beyond excited as this is my top choice so far!

Well I am officially giving up on this round of applications. Honestly the first rejection hurt the most but, strangely, now I am feeling energized about making my application better for next year and in desperate need of ways to fill a couple gaps I see now in retrospect. Lets hope this feeling of resilience sustains me over the next few months!! Also in the Colorado rejection email they stated they would write personalized application comments starting in JUNE! I know they have a lot on their plates but holy cow, I don't know if I can wait that long! Hey ya'll first time posting. I got interviews at Rutgers and Sarah Lawrence! Has anyone heard from Mount Sinai yet? (those are the only 3 I applied to)

I too got my rejection from Rutgers and Colorado today. Still waiting on Indiana State, Uni of Indiana, and Pittsburgh. Anyone know around when I should hear from them. Definitely feeling pretty pessimistic at this point.

I got three rejections in one day.
michigan, colorado, and rutgers. Surprisingly, I’m not taking it to heart. 

I just heard back from Rutgers about an interview.  It seems like they're definitely doing rolling interviews.

This will be my last post in the thread. 
I got my rejection letter from Cincinnati yesterday morning, so I guess some people waited til the last possible second to RSVP on Friday night. I'm not sure why they were making poor Betty work on a Sunday morning, but it was a really great way to kick off the end of my weekend.
I can't watch people get 8 and 9 interviews, when I can't even get one, it hurts too much. So I'm done. Good luck to all of you, and congrats to those of you that are getting interviews. I will not be looking at the spreadsheet anymore, and am not going to be rabidly checking my email. All I'm waiting on is the official rejection emails from UTHouston and UAB, and the the game should repeat itself next week when Utah, KGI and Augustana make their offers.

People who applied to UAB, where you at? I haven't seen much mention of Alabama applicants in the thread!
