I guess this is slightly off-topic, but does anyone have any tips on how to subtly nudge a recommender into completing a recommendation? The deadline is technically not until the end of March but my guess is I will have answers from other places by then and I don't know if I can wait until May or whenever to make a decision.

You should call Columbia and tell them that. I mean, you applied over 3 months ago. I'm sure they would understand your need to know especially if you explain the situation with NYU.

Someone allegedly just heard back yesterday for the 2 year program for BC (it's on the results page). I wonder when they applied...

Huh... no acceptances or rejections for the online clinical program specifically? I think @frolikewhoa was waitlisted just this week, so if you called on 2/23 the admissions rep was probably being truthful with you then. And I know what you mean, I'm afraid to call as well. Maybe just avoid saying your name when you do? But they'd still have your number... call from a burner phone?! Lol, I'm joking, but this is starting to feel like a real mystery to me at this point. Edit: we are definitely overthinking it - see my above comment about the burner phone, lol.

Me too! I can't imagine waiting since November or December, it's been less than three weeks for me and I'm already going crazy, lol.

Never mind my last question, I see what you're saying now. I honestly feel like maybe you should call them... they're doing you a disservice by keeping you waiting so long. Where else did you apply?

Same, but the girl who was waitlisted a few days ago and who applied on 2/14 made me hopeful that all of us could be hearing back soon! I hope they get to the priority applicants first though, otherwise that would be really unfair.

Okay, I just re-read this entire thread because I have no life and I think @2733amh is the only clinical person that has heard back yet. I also think you're the only online clinical applicant on this thread, unless someone wants to correct me. So I wouldn't worry too much.

It's understandable, there are a lot of us, lol. I applied 2/15 and I haven't heard back yet.

I applied clinical 2 year for the same concentration, but residential.

Can anyone confirm that they send out merit awards via email? I've heard that from two people now.

That's so funny, the exact same thing happened to me - I got the email saying that they had mailed the decision on Saturday the 17th, and then got the email about the Accepted Student Reception that Monday, so I called them and they confirmed that I had been accepted. I didn't submit until 1/20, though.

Last week when I called them they made it sound like they were still deciding whether I would get a scholarship or not, so I didn't want to put too much pressure on them about it in case that could affect any award I might receive.

No, I didn't even get that! It's making me think I didn't get any kind of merit award, but if that is the case, I want them to just tell me instead of dragging it out, y'know? They told me to expect something in the mail.

You got into Simmons, too, right? Did you get your financial aid package from them yet? I feel like they're giving me the runaround but maybe I'm just being paranoid.
