  1. Congrats on the U of A acceptances! If anyone has any questions about the program, I would be happy to try to answer them I am currently in my first year there. Also, if you haven't heard back yet, don't sweat!! They tend to do several waves of admissions.
  2. I don't think they really look at the math portion (I scored in the 42nd percentile for math, I know someone in my year who was in the 30th..) but I think they look at your other two scores more when it comes to tie breaking. If two people are matched in all other ways, that is what they use to decide. But really, don't stress the GRE scores too much, I have heard such a range of marks from my classmates!
  3. Hi everyone! I am currently in my first year of the UAlberta SLP program - if you have any questions, I am happy to try to answer them Best of luck to you all!
  4. Hi everyone! If there is anyone in the Vancouver area who will be applying for admissions NEXT year, and wants to strengthen their application - shoot me a message. I have spent the last year and a bit at an amazing volunteer position, but will be leaving to attend U of A in the Fall, so they are looking for another person to continue the work. They wrote me an incredible reference, and the experience is invaluable.
  5. @SLPdreamer1996 Thanks! It was a phone call - no change on the site yet. Good luck!
  6. I got an offer from McGill this morning! Good luck to all McGill applicants
  7. Thanks @SLPhopeful1 !! Yes, I am happy to share my stats: Grades: I graduated from UVic in 2016 with an 8.6 GPA (they use a really weird 9 point scale), which translates to 4.0 on normal scales Volunteer work: ~ 80 hours volunteering at a rehab hospital with SLPs and running an aphasia conversation group for out patients; ~ 60 hours in an elementary school with an SLP Research: RA for two projects at UBC I hope that helps! I am just so excited to make it, this has been a dream since my first year of school! I hope you hear back soon!!
  8. Hi guys! I'm new to this thread, but I just got my conditional acceptance from U of A yesterday and I am dying to know who else is going?! Good luck to everyone!
