  1. When I visited, they told me that a lot of UTD SLP students live somewhere called “The Village.” I’m sure you could find roommates in the program. I looked at the complex and apartments range from $900-$2500ish. so you could definitely find something to share.
  2. I applied to 7. Wish I had applied to fewer because i’ve gotten into all 3 i’ve heard back from ??‍♀️
  3. I don’t know if they still are or not, I would assume so though! i haven’t decided yet, I change my mind every day hahaha
  4. Yes sorry, I meant I had gotten in haha. That was confusing.
  5. I got an acceptance and it came in a regular envelope! another acceptance was just an email.
  6. Hey! I wouldn't freak out! I was one of them and they said I had been chosen for "early admission" and that my official acceptance would come later. So I don't think they've done all their acceptances yet! I submitted my application in early December but my recommendations weren't in completely until the end of December. Good luck!!
  7. I also applied to ASU and haven’t heard back so I’m thinking I probably didn’t get in haha
  8. it depends on the school but if they don’t let you know with the acceptance letter I’m sure they will let you know soon after that.
  9. I got in to UT Dallas earlier this week! They also do rolling admissions.
  10. Look for a job as a paraprofessional for students with disabilities! I’ve gained tons of valuable experience from that.
  11. So I got in this year (woo!) and I got a physical letter in the mail. So maybe they changed it this year!
  12. unfortunately I don't live in Texas! Otherwise I definitely would try to tour them when they aren't closed!
  13. I applied to TWU on-campus, UNT, and UT-Dallas. I tried to visit over the break but they were all closed. I haven't really picked a school yet so I can't say what my plan B is yet haha. I have lots of plan Bs! I'd love to hear more about these schools.
  14. Hey everyone! If you are going to one of these schools, would you mind talking about it a little? I applied to all three and I'm wondering what each school is like because I don't really have any information that distinguishes them besides location and cost. Which school is best for medical SLP? If I want medical placements and to enter the medical side of the field? Thanks in advance!
  15. I know most schools say mid-March, but are there any that admit earlier? I've heard UT-Dallas does but I'm not sure if that's just a rumor or not.
  16. Hi! Currently live in Provo, UT. I'm applying to University of Utah, Utah State University, University of Washington, Arizona State University, UC-Boulder, UT-Dallas, and Texas Women's University. I took the GRE last week and unofficial scores are 161 Verbal 160 Quant, not sure on writing yet. I'm nervous because my GPA is just okay (3.72). I also have no idea how to write a personal statement that will stand out! I've had lots of experience working with kids and I've worked with people with disabilities. I did one semester of research (research is... not my thing...). I think I just have a lot of anxiety because I've pretty much convinced myself I won't get in anywhere!! Also it's SO expensive to apply to grad schools!! I'm looking at $600 just for the applications, plus $200 for the GRE and $90 to send my GRE scores since they only give you 4 free ones. Goodbye money!! Edit to add: I'm also worried about interviews. Do you guys know if any of the schools I'm applying to have interviews as part of the process? I don't know how I'll afford flying to a bunch of different cities for interviews!!
