University of Texas at Dallas—Housing Thoughts?
natalee replied to Breadandcheese's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
When I visited, they told me that a lot of UTD SLP students live somewhere called “The Village.” I’m sure you could find roommates in the program. I looked at the complex and apartments range from $900-$2500ish. so you could definitely find something to share. -
I don’t know if they still are or not, I would assume so though! i haven’t decided yet, I change my mind every day hahaha

University of North Texas Applicants

Hey! I wouldn't freak out! I was one of them and they said I had been chosen for "early admission" and that my official acceptance would come later. So I don't think they've done all their acceptances yet! I submitted my application in early December but my recommendations weren't in completely until the end of December. Good luck!! -

Question about acceptances/scholarships
natalee replied to BioCook's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
it depends on the school but if they don’t let you know with the acceptance letter I’m sure they will let you know soon after that. -

I applied to TWU on-campus, UNT, and UT-Dallas. I tried to visit over the break but they were all closed. I haven't really picked a school yet so I can't say what my plan B is yet haha. I have lots of plan Bs! I'd love to hear more about these schools. -
Hey everyone! If you are going to one of these schools, would you mind talking about it a little? I applied to all three and I'm wondering what each school is like because I don't really have any information that distinguishes them besides location and cost. Which school is best for medical SLP? If I want medical placements and to enter the medical side of the field? Thanks in advance!

I know most schools say mid-March, but are there any that admit earlier? I've heard UT-Dallas does but I'm not sure if that's just a rumor or not.

2019 Speech Pathology Graduate Applications
natalee replied to CajunSLP18's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
Hi! Currently live in Provo, UT. I'm applying to University of Utah, Utah State University, University of Washington, Arizona State University, UC-Boulder, UT-Dallas, and Texas Women's University. I took the GRE last week and unofficial scores are 161 Verbal 160 Quant, not sure on writing yet. I'm nervous because my GPA is just okay (3.72). I also have no idea how to write a personal statement that will stand out! I've had lots of experience working with kids and I've worked with people with disabilities. I did one semester of research (research is... not my thing...). I think I just have a lot of anxiety because I've pretty much convinced myself I won't get in anywhere!! Also it's SO expensive to apply to grad schools!! I'm looking at $600 just for the applications, plus $200 for the GRE and $90 to send my GRE scores since they only give you 4 free ones. Goodbye money!! Edit to add: I'm also worried about interviews. Do you guys know if any of the schools I'm applying to have interviews as part of the process? I don't know how I'll afford flying to a bunch of different cities for interviews!!
