  1. If the person who posted about a prelim video interview with UMass Amherst is on here, could you DM me your POI?
  2. Did anyone here apply to UO's clinical psychology program? I'm surprised no one has posted results from that program yet, as they typically send out invites super early in December.
  3. These are the scenarios that give me hope! The uncertainty is definitely the most frustrating part of the whole process.
  4. If any of the OK State posters received an invite from LC could you DM me? If any of the EMU posters received an invite from JL could you DM me? Congrats!! Trying to cope with the potential rejections ?
  5. I've also seen emails go out from two schools I was excited about, and also thought were "safety" schools, so I'm definitely feeling discouraged. Yuck. I was feeling so confident this round, too!
  6. I'd love to know this too.
  7. Sorry to hear that! Rejections are rough, especially this early in the process. It looks like you have many more to hear from, and you have to hope that the right fit will come along. It is heartbreaking, though. Let yourself be upset for a bit and then try to let it go. So many factors go in to these decisions. I'm starting to see interview invites come through for a school I though was a great fit, and my qualifications were better than averages for previous years...that is stinging, for sure. I'm trying to remain optimistic but it's definitely tough!
  8. Do you mind DMing your POI info for OSU?
  9. If the Oklahoma State University poster is on here, could you DM your POI? Thanks.
  10. I am working on coping with my stress by baking today! We have a work holiday party tomorrow and I'm trying to make a Bûche de Noël...wish me luck.
  11. Thats what I thought, too. Glad I'm not the only one who was confused.
  12. I noticed someone already posted a rejection from University of Minnesota...did anyone else get anything from them?? Specifically the DPCS track?
  13. You might want to check out Student Doctor Network for questions like this, I know this site is heavily used by applicants while SDN is used more for those already in programs.
  14. I think you are overthinking it, it doesn't matter when you choose to interview. They won't make their decisions based on who was there first or last, just choose whatever works best for you. Or, if you are still waiting to hear from schools that have interview dates on one of the same weekends, choose the opposite weekend
  15. I'm in the same boat as you! Trying to stay busy and focused on other things buuuut it's so freaking hard.
  16. Is this program dependent, though? Most, if not all, of my programs have interview dates late January/early February
  17. I don't know that I would bring a friend but I guess it's personal preference. You want your head in the game, and I think having a friend there would throw me off. I'm married and would maybe have my husband come to check out the places we might live, but with the understanding that all university related events take priority and that I wouldn't be with him much to explore until after the interview. Also if the program knew that you brought a tag-a-long I wonder if they would get a weird vibe from that?
  18. Some have reported invites on the weekends, also keep in mind the potential time difference between the school and where you live
  19. No form of interest, everyone gets those unless your application is not admissible
  20. I tried to convince myself weekends should be off limits for checking email and such but have seen others get invites on Saturdays so... ?‍♀️
  21. Thanks for the words of encouragement! It's always nice to be reminded that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that those of us on our second, third, etc. rounds shouldn't be discouraged. The waiting game is incredibly tough, especially for something like this, our literal DREAM and future career path. Congrats on your success so far!
  22. Wow thats the best back up plan I've ever heard, might have to join you!
  23. Thats good to know! I did have a phone conversation with one of the faculty there, though we didn't have time to talk about admissions which is a bummer. I also know that program is going to be uber competitive. Just nervous having to wait for acceptance or rejection for another month or two lol
  24. @Libra924 ETS is a POS! So sorry you are having such a tough time communicating with them. What jerks.
