I have decided to enroll in RISD's three-year graphic design program. (For those of you concerned about cost, ASK FOR MORE MONEY! I was given 20k more by RISD basically with the snap of the fingers.)
I spend the last 1.5 hours sending rejections to CalArts, MICA, Parsons, Pratt, RCA and SVA. If you've been waitlisted at those, I hope you get offered a spot now!

Thanks! I think it's very helpful. I am really interested in SVA to be honest, since their faculties are famous and experienced. 

When you mentioned that SVA is not experimental enough, it might focus more on entrepreneurial theory and conventional design, which make your portfolio good enough to find job after grad. Would you like to talk more about SVA? 

And what about Calarts MFA in graphic design compares to SVA MFA in design?

I just looked at some people applying for Graphic Design at Parsons and this was the only course I found on their website and was wondering about the same. I had initially thought of applying to it since I'm an undergraduate in Architecture and only have work experience regarding graphic design but then MFA seemed better for me and I'm lucky to have recieved a few offers from the same. I also wanted to clear my perception, that it was a technical program to develop one's portfolio for professional/further master's career.

?? It is an associates degree. It shouldn’t even be an option if you are applying for MFA programs. While I don’t know that program specifically, it is probably all intro courses to Adobe programs, drawing, color theory, and other fundamentals. It being an AAS instead of AFA means it is likely more technical than fine art driven.
Edit: Also, that program is now called Communication Design (still an AAS).

Hey! I got waitlisted at MICA too. So I had a conversation with an admission counselor about the same thing. If you have any further doubts, just use the chat feature on their website, its pretty awesome!
You must have recieved a survey link, you can just fill out your deadlines there and they'll fast track the process.  He said they'll try and get back by April 13 (which is a very short deadline) but if its your first choice like mine, I highly recommend it. 
However does anyone know How likely is it to get into a school off of their waitlist? I'm curious too. The counselor told me there are 21 seats and except the ones accepted, 19 others were waitlisted for each program (top 40).

I don’t know too much about the Otis program but it came up slot when I was researching schools as a pretty good program. I didn’t apply to any of the Cali schools, but I think the same lady that heads the Yale GD program started the Otis program.

"We have recommended to the Graduate College of the University of Illinois at Chicago that you be admitted with full graduate standing to the Master of Design (MDes) in Graphic Design program in the UIC School of Design.   Once the Graduate College confirms our decision and the UIC Office of Graduate Admissions verifies the receipt of all necessary credentials, you will receive official notification with further information.”   So anxious for the final admission letter! I hope they give out a little funding. ?

I accepted UT Austin's offer yesterday. Really excited about the program's atmosphere, facilities, faculty, current, and incoming grad cohort. 
While there, I had a feeling 1-2 accepted people were looking for something different and might reject their offers. 

No, I did not get an interview request. That's why I went to the website and saw they had a chat with admission feature. They told me I would get it sometime this week?

Got an acceptance letter from Pratt Communications Design program! However, there's no mention of funding in the acceptance letter, Does anyone know if they give it out later or this means, I'm not eligible for a funding? NY is too expensive for me otherwise. ?

Just got an acceptance email to MICA! Also just got an interview invite from Rutgers

Just noticed on the Pratt website that their application deadline has been extended to 03/11. Has anyone heard anything from them or the waiting is just going to get indefinitely longer? Applied to the Communications Design program.

I got an offer from them as well! Congrats!  Have you decided whether you want to take their offer? I  also interviewed Boston university and I really can't make my decisio.
