  1. Really? It does not let me log in to it. I will have to try again. Do you use your ID? Thank you both so much for answering my question, I really appreciate it.
  2. Hi! Do any of you know if U of Oregon has a way to check your status via portal? I do not think there is. I see a website http://gradweb.uoregon.edu/ but when I looked on their website it looks like you do not get access to it until you've been accepted. I think I'm just getting antsy, but I was curious. Anyways, good luck to everyone!!
  3. I also applied to U of Oregon but not for the INICIO project. Good luck with your interview.
  4. When did you submit your application? And what are your stats?
  5. I have an interview that day too!! Good Luck!
  6. I'm prepping for interviews as well. There is this one site that has mock interview questions. I think they're the same or similar for every school but if you have friend you can go through them together and work on a good answer. https://www.mockquestions.com/graduateschool/Loma+Linda+University/Speech+Pathology/page4/ (sorry the link is for Loma Linda that's where I have my interview but when I was helping my friend get ready for her NYMC interview she had this website pulled up for NYMC and it had the same questions. You could also search it for your school. I think this is a great tool to prep even if you aren't asked the same questions.)
  7. I applied to ASU as well. Haven't heard anything either. Kind of super annoyed by that, but I'm assuming I'm getting waitlisted and not rejected. Although I've compared my stats to others and some of my stats are very close to people who got accepted so I'm trying to hold some hope out. Why are you assuming you are going to get rejected?
  8. Hi! 1. I applied to 9 schools, 2 of them being located in socal. 2. I'm from NorCal, but currently at UNR for undergrad. I've only been here for a little under 2 years and still have residency in California. I'm thinking going back to California might be cheaper than going out of state, but I still applied to some competitive out of state schools. 3. I applied to Loma Linda because I am legacy there and they have a good medical focus as well as school focus and I feel like I would come out of there as a well rounded and competent clinician and be able to go into either feild. I have an interview there next Friday and I'm beyond excited. I also applied to San Diego State University. Although I feel like I have decently competitive stats, I know it's very competitive to get in and I expect to get to waitlisted here. I chose to apply here because tuition is so low for in state applicants and they have a great program. Although my only drawback is the expensive to live there will counteract the low tuition rates. I hope this helps you and the best of luck to all!!
  9. For those concerned about finances, I know State like Nevada and California do loan forgiveness. I know in Nevada legislation currently says if you work at a low SES school for a certain amount of time they will forgive all your loans. My mom also had an SPL friend who got loan forgiveness in California. I would look into that depending on what state you're in or want to be in. I also highly reccomend getting involved with SPL legislation like that so that we can keep getting that for SLP's. I wish you all the best of luck and least amount of stress possible.
  10. No, sorry I have an interview at Loma Linda University on the 22nd.
  11. Sometimes it is healthy to vent and know you are not the only one. Good luck!
  12. I feel the same exact way!!!! There was one night where I could not even sleep because all I wanted to was check everything. But like who is going to accept you in the middle of the night. I am really just glad I am not the only one feeling like this.
  13. I have come up with so many different theories about why I haven't heard anything. 1) They possibly have two cohorts and only selected have selected applicants for one, so I still have a chance. 2) I am on the waiting list and they send those out later incase people decline earlier for whatever reason, so they can change your status earlier. So hopefully I still have a chance to be accepted. 3) I am white and they are looking for diversity, which is not white. 4) One of my friends was already accepted to ASU and they will only take undergrads from one school. I have come to realize these are all very silly. I have another friend who has already been accepted elsewhere who keeps trying to encourage and telling me everything will work out in the end. I agree it will all work out in the end, but in the meantime I am going INSANE waiting. (proof above ?) She has also tried to convince me to call to see if I can determine something but that terrifies me because for whatever reason, I think that they may get wind that I called and was being impatient and may result in a different decisions. (further proof of my insanity) I will keep you update. I am also interested in hearing if you get an interviews and where you get in. We have the potential for being in the same cohort. Or at least when we go into the professional world of SLP we will have another ally to support us.
  14. I couldn't agree more. I applied to Arizona State University (ASU). They sent out some acceptances and rejections this past week. I have not heard anything from them and my portal still says in review. I was expecting an acceptance, but I am slowly doubting that will happen. I don't think anyone has received a decision about a waiting list so I have just assumed that's where I am going to be placed. But I am thoroughly annoyed and anxious because it has been a week since they started sending out decisions I haven't heard anything. It would be nice to just be told and not have to wait. (Is anyone else waiting to hear back from ASU? Does anyone know how there admissions process works. I am really hoping to get accepted still.) Also, CSU Chico has an interview and has not sent out anything. I am sure they are just reviewing, but I keep waiting. I do not like waiting. ?
  15. Yes! I have an interview February 22nd. I have been wondering when Chico would send out there's.
  16. Hi! Have you received an email about an interview yet? I applied there and have not heard anything yet.
  17. I'm so glad I am not the only one. It has been making me anxious all week long.
  18. HI Everyone!! I know a lot of people have been getting decisions from Arizona State University. I know all of my materials are in, but I have not heard anything from them. My portal still says in review. Is there anyone else still waiting for a decision from them? Does anyone know hows they release decisions? __________ GPA: 3.79 GRE V: 151 Q: 148 W: 4.0 I have done research, been a TA, lots of volunteer hours, 3 letters of rec from speech path department, two from Pi Beta Phi Alum I worked closely with while I was on the leadership board, VP of Pi Beta Phi and VP of NSSLHA
  19. That's awesome! Tell me if you get an interview and when. Good luck with the rest of your applications and admissions.
  20. I received an email confirming an interview on February 22nd. Did anyone else receive an Interview? If so, when? Also, does anyone have an advice for LLU's interview? Does anyone know what it has looked like in the past? What should I expect? I had a friend interview at New York Medical College recently and she felt that it was a formality. Is LLU's more of a formality, or are they actually weeding out applicants?
