No, I wasn’t. It was a rather bizarre email, and I didn’t get an official offer. Not sure about a timeline but they seemed to indicate that they’d have the final funding decisions in the next couple of weeks.

Got an email from Indiana Univ. HPS saying that their admissions process is moving slowly, that I am one of their top applicants, and that they are trying to work out funding details. They asked if I am still interested in the program. I plan on telling them that, while I appreciate their generosity, I have already received four offers elsewhere...and so I would rather withdraw the app and give someone else a shot at a funded offer there.

I didn’t get anything from them either. It’s either (1) because I’m not the best fit for them and/or (2) because of how I responded to some of the questions on the application...damn that app was weird. I refused to answer the question about how I dressed and just said it was an inappropriate question. Great school, so still disappointing.

They sent the official letter with the funding details; I got it yesterday afternoon and it was a fairly standard-looking package.

That would be me and, no, they haven’t given me any details on funding yet.

Everyone who attended the UC Irvine LPS interview weekend (myself included) has been unofficially accepted via email.

Accepted to Carnegie Mellon.

Lol I am not quite sure what GradCafe expects us to put under ‘Program,’ either, so I just wrote my AOI. And yes, I’m excited about this acceptance.

Accepted at Duke with a generous funding package.

I’ve received confirmation that this event is more of a meet-and-greet, and any questions asked will just be to get to know us. We don’t need to show up expecting to get grilled.... Also, they are expecting about ten students to show at this event, and they typically enroll about 8 a year.

Same, and I have all of the same questions. Although I’ve heard (from a very reliable source) that the interview invitation is more or less an acceptance, and that the interviews are just mandated by the university as part of the applicant screening process. Will update the thread if/when I hear more.
