Do we know the likely date for when decisions are going to be announced?
-
Same here. We could make a telegram/whatsapp group for Public Policy Fulbright scholars - could be a huge help negotiating placement and so on?
-
I'd asked them about an interview two weeks ago but they had emailed back saying no interview necessary and so forth. This email is doesn't seem a specific reply to my question but since it covers some of the same ground, it could just be a hastily written response by someone who forgot that they had already replied.

I just got an email but not from CPL. Got one from PEPG saying they had received my documents and whatnot. For a split second.. but 'twas not to be.

I don't know. If I had to guess though, I'd say they want both admission and fellowship decisions to be released simultaneously so admitted candidates are not scrambling around appearing in interviews between mid-March and mid-April which is when most graduate schools' deadline for acceptance/rejection of offers is. You never know with these old schools though, it could just as easily be tradition. "This is how we have always done it" and so on.

No, I mean if they were to admit that an interview invite means the candidate stands a strong chance of final admission then someone could easily turn around and call the chronology of the whole process flawed. So to avoid this, they would say "there's no connection" - anyone who wanted to defend the process would.
-
But they would, wouldn't they?

I was under the impression that these emails that we're all waiting for are mere interview invitations and by no means guarantee that recipients of said emails will be awarded the scholarship? The final decisions are supposedly announced after (or alongside, I'm not sure) the admission decisions?

Has anyone here applied for the PEPG scholarship? I got in touch with the PEPG admin yesterday and was told that there would be no interviews and that results would be released with admission decisions in mid March.

It's already past 5 PM in Cambridge. I don't think there will be any more emails today.
-
Very likely I would have thought.

Same here. I had a cursory look at last years' list of CPL fellows and some of the profiles were stellar to the point of depressing. Good luck to everyone though. You never know with these things.
-
Are we expecting only CPL interview emails to be sent out today or would other research centers/fellowships also feature?
-
Don't they send these emails around noon?
-
Get in touch with their admissions office, they're actually very responsive.
-
Probably wise to get in touch with the admissions office. Round 1 decisions were announced way earlier than schedule (mid January instead of mid February) so it's possible that they do the same with Round 2.
-
Wouldn't the whole process be more efficient if fellowship interviews were conducted after the announcement of admission decisions or am I missing something here?

Mine was "healthcare policy in the United States". This was last year though; I got in but couldn't attend because I didn't get any funding.

Congratulations. I think I saw your decision on the homepage. 170/170/6 right? That's a terrific score ?

Word has it that decisions for applications submitted in December are going to released over the weekend. Good luck guys!

Today is the last date of paying the $2,000 fee for securing one's berth as it were. I haven't heard from the World Bank/Joint Japan scholarship people. Is there any chance SIPA will wait until result for the said scholarship are announced or will they revoke the admission offer?
