I was wondering to anyone to applied to Carleton, MSW Advanced Standing, what is your status currently? 
 

So I was accepted to the MSW program at Ryerson last year. From what I remember, they didn’t call everyone the same day. Some people had heard they were accepted on the Monday and I didn’t get a call until the Tuesday. So i think they might call over a couple of days? 
 
Also as I deferred my acceptance to U of T I’m joining the advanced standing class this September. I recently received my new acceptance package for Fall 2021 so I am assuming acceptances for advanced standing at U of T will be going out very soon!!

I just received a call from May Friedman at Ryerson who offered me admission into their MSW program. I'm still crying... fingers crossed to all that applied!!

Hi everyone, an hour ago I received a call from Ryerson and was accepted to their MSW program.

I spoke with my academic mentor last night who teaches at York and they shared that there still is  another rotation of application reviews in March so it seems that York offers won't be out till at least April

Hi all! I'm new to the forum - but just wanted to update you guys on what I've heard so far!
I applied to:
UToronto (2-year program) UCalgary (2-year program with clinical specialization) Carleton (2-year program) I got my offer of admission to Carleton on Tuesday! I know some people like having the stats, so just for those people, I had a 3.8GPA on a 4.3 scale from my undergraduate honours psychology degree and 3888 hours of paid employment experience, 1108 of volunteer, and 224 of practicum. Hope that helps! 
My UToronto application is marked as "under review" and my UCalgary is still the green circle with no comments on admission yet. 

I never thought to include my stats: I was accepted to Carleton with an 11.42 GPA on a 12 pt scale (~3.94 on a 4.0 scale). I had 24,243 hours of work in total, with about 7500 hours of teaching experience as some of the most pertinent, 588 placement, and 1771 volunteer. 
I am in my fourth year of my bsw, and previously completed my ssw and 3/4 of a fine arts degree. 
I was offered two scholarships from Carleton that I will be happily accepting.

The waiting game is the worst part of applying to grad school. I applied to 3 advanced standing programs:
UofT (Social justice and diversity stream) McMaster (Critical Analysis stream) York U If anyone else applied to these schools let's keep each other posted on acceptances

I was wondering about that too! Curious to know if it’s another international student or whether they’ve started sending out offers for domestic students. Pretty interested in finding out whether it’s for the one year or two year program. The waiting game is killing me!!

Thank you so much  Yes! I received an email notifying me of the acceptance and telling me to check Carleton Central for the letter of admissions and funding package. 

I have a feeling it might be hybrid, but I don't think I can do another year of online school tbh lol ?

On a different note, do you all think school will be virtual in September? 

Hey! Got an email earlier today saying that I've been accepted into Carleton's 2 year program too Congratulations to everyone receiving acceptances. I'm still in so much shock reviewing the funding package tonight

I just got my letter of admission to the 2-year program at Carleton!!!!!

Got my recommendation for acceptance from Dal today in the mail. Just posting for those of you who are waiting! 
I'm international and I applied for the 2 year program.

I have been following the grad cafe threads for a while now (a couple years!) and I've always been so appreciative of everyone's stories. I have been accepted into Mac's MSW program and I don't think I've ever cried so much before. As I'm sure many of you can relate, it has been a long fucking journey. I've always felt like I am an imposter so reading the offer of admission was such an overwhelming feeling. I wish everyone the best in their journeys ?

I emailed McMaster for the Critical Leadership MSW program and found out I was rejected today. I accepted my U of Windsor offer for the Peel region advanced standing program. I look forward to seeing some of you there! Best of luck to everyone hearing back from schools.

I am at work right now and my mom just called me to tell me I received a letter from Dalhousie today! Nervous to see what it says
