Hi all - 
I was reading another thread in this forum and saw a discussion on Academic Twitter and many newbies to AT (me being one). I thought I would create a separate thread, as not to detract from the purpose of the other, where we can share our Twitter handles, follow each other, and recommend other academic accounts to follow (such as professors, researchers, etc.). 
I figure you can either share your twitter publicly or can DM each other if you don't want so many people to follow you.

I follow all of my POIs on twitter (and then some). Some have followed me back, funnily enough.  It has been a nice way to get insight into their personalities or politics without having to ask. I don't think that they'd think much of it. If anything, it shows more interest. I'd just make sure to be careful about what you tweet and like on the platform.

I actually asked this on Academic Twitter (lol) and the consensus was it's not weird at all!

Anyone else having a hard time focusing on work/school/interview prep because of the inauguration? Or, is that just me ? 
Feeling very grateful for the overall supportive nature of this forum. Sending positive energy and wishes of acceptance to everyone here. It's been a grueling process for sure, but I am thankful I am not alone in this boat ❤️

lol I get so many more emails from schools I never applied to, and programs I could not apply to off the cuff (last time I checked I never took the LSAT?) than any school I've actually applied to. So dumb

I applied to ISU and didn't submit GRE scores. My application says "Materials Needed" as well, but I spoke with the Program Director back in October and was informed not to worry about that! So don't worry

Someone on the results page posted (About CSU's Counseling PhD): 
"I asked admissions officer via e-mail about timelines. Received e-mail from admissions staff member today 1/8/21, who said interview invites will come in 3rd or 4th week of January. There is no official interview date set yet."

Hi all, I too am on the boat of applying to 15 programs and hearing radio silence from all of them. I know anxiety levels are skyrocketing these past few days, so join me in saying these words of affirmation for yourself out loud! We are all qualified and deserving of reaching our goals! ?
 
1. If I do my best throughout this process, I will end up at exactly the school and program where I belong.
2. Setbacks and mistakes are a natural part of this process. I’m taking a big risk by being honest with myself about my dreams and goals—and being willing to go after them!
3. At all moments—right this moment—I am being drawn toward the people, places, and opportunities for my highest good and my highest service to the world.
4. There is enough time, money, energy, and opportunities in life for me to make a difference. There is room at the top for me!
5. I am dedicated to enjoying this journey. Not every part will be fun or easy, but I will not let my life whiz by me in a race to “the next best thing.” I live and enjoy my life today.
