Yeah. You write to the office of financial aid. Though chances are minimal, there is no harm.

Are you sure they didn't just mean the work study and other loan options. I wrote to them again asking if MPA-DP funding had gone out and this was the response. I have no hope left from Columbia, even though I might try and appeal fin aid. Good luck to you guys, hope you get something!

From this thread, it really seems that the accepted MPA-DPs haven't heard of any funding. The office of financial aid though says all funding decisions have gone out. Bad luck I guess

Still waiting to hear from BSG, through I applied right on the deadline.

I wrote to them and got this response. "Again, congratulations on your admission to SIPA. We hope that you and yours are safe and healthy, and we look forward to working with you.Any admitted applicants who were offered a scholarship were notified along with their letter of admission; unfortunately, we are not able to offer such funding to all students. We encourage you to review the information at https://www.sipa.columbia.edu/admissions/financial-aid/financial-aid-international-students to learn about other financing options, we hope you find it helpful." ?

Same boat as you, SIPA was my first choice, tho now I will probably take up Fletcher MALD if I dont hear from them. I have actually written to them asking about financial aid. I dont think many of the MPA-DP have heard about fin aid, so really hoping they send something

It is primarily funding thought. At SIPA I got the MPA-DP, which was my first preference anyway, but if I can't secure funding then MALD it is

Funding decisions are out. Got $48k over two years! Now im really considering fletcher over SIPA

I really hope that's the case. The early decisions came near the end of December (23rd). Still waiting for my financial aid so also waiting for the date

Hey, I think I can give you some inputs here - one of my former supervisors at Cambridge did I think his post doc at Hertie. In his opinion, it was a fantastic school, however he did add that unless you leverage their dual degree networks, it will be difficult to get a job in international markets - if you intend to remain in Europe then Hertie is very well know. The challenge Hertie has is that it’s comparitively new, and thus does not have that large a network of alumni around. If you want to look at schools in Europe, with a career looking in developing countries, or in other places around the world, I would suggest the Graduate Institute in Geneva or BSG Oxford. I just got my acceptance (YAYYY), no word on funding though

I won’t say I’m career change directly - I work in health policy looking to focus more towards the gender human rights social inclusion side of things , but they are waiving GREs this year if you can show enough quant background. I have very rudimentary data analysis in my background but they were happy to waive GRE for me
