I have been rejected by all the programs I have applied so far...
Only USC and Georgetown left now. Hope will get some news by this week...

It hasn’t shown up in my portal either. I really can’t handle two presumptive rejections in one hour...

I really feel like the decision emails are gonna creep up on me when I least expect it! I got the Rice email while I was watching AoT  

The tweets above are from the Georgetown IR subfield chair. He is the one who recommends the list of acceptances.  He said he has done the recommendations to the DGS. 

I know that is a thing, but it's entirely the wrong mentality to have. Only do a PhD if you have a burning desire to be a professor.

Welcome to February, everyone! Wishing you all the best with the decisions coming out this month. 

Mine is in eating sleeping and netflix triangle ? i want to start to a new series, any suggestions? Might be something like TBBT

Netflix (may be different based on location) - The Politician, The Good Place, Grace & Frankie, The Kominsky Method
Apple TV - Dickinson, The Morning Show, Ted Lasso
Disney Plus - Wandavision (it's so good) 
Also Euphoria is great (HBO) but a bit intense. 
(My weekend is mostly uni work - as is every day these days! - but I give myself a break in the evenings to watch Gilmore Girls or Wandavision & Dickinson when they come out on Fridays.)

Claiming an Albany admit! I too was shocked at how quick the turnaround was. I was asked to interview just 5 days past the application deadline, and offered admission less than two weeks past the deadline. 

We've actually been chatting about this on the forum. I think the consensus is that getting rejected from a lower ranked school isn't an indication you won't get in somewhere else--so its far too soon to despair! You got this!

Exactly! @Aydemiru if you want to feel better, check out the 2020 cycle thread. There were quite a few people who didn't get admitted to lower ranked schools but got into Harvard, Yale, etc. 
You have to remember that the more money a department has, the more faculty they can employ, which means they can take in students who might have a more niche fit because there's broad expertise among the faculty, compared to a smaller department that might require tighter fit/already has enough students studying what you want to pursue.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the rankings- most programs are primarily concerned about fit, so sometimes a lower ranked program might not offer you admission solely on that factor. That being said- don’t rule out Albany yet- and keep your head up for the other places you applied! You got this

That is the fastest sadness for me LoL 
I wasnt called for an interview so I will probably be rejected soon, and I feel like I wont get any admission because I did not get into Albany. It was the last one I applied in terms of rankings

Honestly, I just want to hear from one institution that I got in -- I don't care about hearing from my remaining apps after that, because my heart will be at peace.

I’ve applied to 11, only heard from one and it’s one in the UK. Don’t worry. It is still early in the game.
