Update: Please ignore this post. She has submitted he letters, some late, but they are all submitted.

My work supervisor has not sent any recommendation letters out, despite multiple reminders, and having 1-2.5 months to complete them. I even asked her to please just use the same letter for every school, and she said it "makes it a bit easier." A few days ago, she commented that she will "try her best, but 15 schools is a lot, and [she] cannot guarantee [she] will get to them." I don't take these applications lightly in the slightest and this is really hard for me to deal with. I have asked her one moth earlier as well, if she needed any help and I got no response. As far I know her, she is a responsible person. I have been pleading with her, and have been constantly worried for several days straight. As of 11/30/22, there is not a single letter submitted. I am applying for Clinical Psychology PhD programs, and I have 2 letters from my professors and research mentors. She would be the clinical reference I suppose. She is a counselor herself. How would potential schools view this? Could it hurt my chances, even by a little? I would appreciate advice on this.

Is it common for Graduate School (that I have applied to for PhD) to send a Virtual Open House invitation, or could it mean something? I haven't heard otherwise from them. I'm wondering this is just a generic email sent to everyone, or if it could mean anything.

I don't think they would expect you to have in-depth clinical experience yet at an undergrad level, so certainly anything is a plus. idk about PsyD but I personally don't think PhD want you to shadow doctors. A licensed Psychologist will be more than good enough I think (but if a doctor is whom you want to shadow then that's ofc up to you).

Is it typical (for PhD programs) to not receive an email for rejection?

Definitely ask them. It's especially important if you intend on applying the next admission cycle, so that you know what was your weakness this time around, and can do whatever you can about it. That is, if they are willing to be more specific about your rejection, some place may not be.

Anything on Nova Southeastern Clinical Psychology PhD?

I would definitely contact them and ask them if they have selected the final candidate(s) yet.

I have confirmed that George Washington University and University of Connecticut are STEM as per USCIS. I will update on others as I find out more.

Not all of them are considered STEM and Clinical Psych itself is not considered STEM (even though other sub-disciplines are, like social and personality). What are the PhD Clinical Psychology programs that are considered STEM under USCIS, that you know of?

Yeah I didn't hear back from them so I contacted the POI directly. I would encourage you to do the same.

Rosalind Franklin University - although the application instructions say 3.2 Undergrad min required, I strongly suspect they might still consider your application if you have something that makes up for it. Just FYI for anyone applying to the school.

Master's might be easier than PhD for sure (to get admitted). The Master's program I applied to had a point system (they wrote it on their website) where GPA and GRE were both certain points and the total had to be 5 for them to consider you. So I would look into program details, email them directly, tell them about your situation upfront and if they would still consider you.

I emailed two faculty directly about whether my application was still under review, or if "the interview invites have been finalized," basically to know for sure if I have already been rejected (I'm anticipating it). Should I even wait for a response? I am not sure if the faculty bother responding to these questions lol.

My advisor says they weigh 3.5+ GPA similarly.
