At first I thought it's good to check results, now I loose my hope for every page refresh lol

Were they on Spring Break last week? It was the week before Easter and that's sometimes a popular week for it. I'd say wait until the end of today and then email them again. Or try calling.

Hi! I've accepted my offer at Davis and am removing myself from Albany's funding waitlist. Hope this helps someone!

I've just declined my offer at Davis, and also removed myself from CUNY's waitlist. Hope this helps someone!

Just got an email titled "From the Office of Admissions" and I almost choked when I saw the notification...
It was just a spam message from a school I signed up to get notifications from, but didn't end up applying to.
They should be FORBIDDEN from sending out stuff like that during response/rejection/dejection season. SERIOUSLY.
I'm still waiting on two schools but am about ready to give up on them ever getting back to me. I submitted my applications the third week of October, so this wait has felt interminable.

I'm also officially out at Michigan, I feel the pain. Aside from waiting on Harvard (lol) I'm at 8/9 rejections and one waitlist at Davis. If anyone has insight in Davis's waitlist process or how much movement there usually is that would be extremely helpful! Sending love to everyone else without an acceptance ?

Haha! That's very ableist indeed. My only athletic skill back then was and still is running for life (provided the safe corner was/is about three minutes away from the starting point. huh!).
Your mom seems justified though-- your article is hilarious and poignant at the same time! I am sure many grad students would love to see their greatest insecurities materialise like this, given the overwhelming gloom of the application period.
My father's optimism is more along the lines of denial. I plan to apply for Fall 2022 and I do anticipate a shutout (at least I won't be crestfallen and after having seen so many brilliant scholars the burden of rejection would somewhat be more bearable) but managing disappointed parents is nothing short of disaster management! Their expectations have a ridiculous social dimension and what was meant to be collateral damage takes the stage! You manage their disappointment and their lost opportunities to brag about their children's still-unheard-of potential.

Has anyone else not gotten any PhD acceptances yet? I'm finishing my MA this semester and this is my first cycle applying to PhDs. I've gotten 3 rejections (Berkeley, Northwestern, and Cornell), no interviews or waitlists, and 7 more programs left to hear from. I'm not holding my breath :/

This is my second cycle applying to PhD programs; 2 rejections so far, no interviews. Really not feeling hopeful, and not looking forward to going through it again in a year... For what it's worth, I think the usually absurdly competitive process is even more cutthroat this year, as people are applying to PhD cycles to put off entering the barren COVID job market post-graduation.

I've only heard back from one school, Berkeley, and it was a rejection. Hang in there!
