how did the test go and have you considered a degree in chaotic systems? -

everyone's ideal candy store is always different I suppose ... enjoy your trip!

Sir: I looked in the dictionary and apparently that is the definition of resiliency, apparently this meets the criteria!

You guys are getting a SUPER early jump on your thread ... can't wait to see how this turns out ... wonder when your characters will start popping out ... this might be fun

Normally I wouldn't read much in a response from the DGS in this case ... b/c a negative response doesn't mean they don't want you per se, it just could be a weirdly busy week or they aren't sure if enough people will drop off the wait-list so they don't want you to get the wrong impression etc ... as for the Seminoles, well what did I expect? Them to live up to expectations? No, all my sports teams are evil entities, looking for the moments I let my guard down and then they pounce, like the natural predators that they are, to rip to shreds my heart

Life hates me ... only explanation
-
I do not know the meaning of the word shame ... I spent some time at an all-boy's school at one point in my life ... I will go on ... I will rebuild ... and I will look equally foolish once again next year when I construct the new "perfect" bracket which will be foiled by some greedy young whippersnapper from some no name school, looking to torment me thusly ... a sip of the finest apple juice will be poured tonight for the brackets that didn't make it
-
Just be careful about what that information will bring ... there is a chance it will totally take you back to square one ... kind of where I find myself ... questioning things and waffling worse than a lying politician trying to explain the three secret offshore accounts
-
I would still go and check out the place ... it can't hurt can it? Also would you be willing to go if they accepted you?
-
Oh I would def. need an editor, a filter, and lots of altoids to keep me calm ... but that book would be a BLOCKBUSTER ... by which I mean I can safely say we'd sell 48 copies ... my mother would 30 of them ... you're due for the other 18

LOL this day and age? I will GLADLY take that encouragement only if it's written in unicorn's blood, notarized AND in triplicate

Well that's simple to explain: people think all students are the same ... i.e., no source of income and no ability to raise a family ... now granted grad students aren't exactly living in the lap of luxury (except those damn philosophy students! their shiny ivory towers, I tell you what!) but usually most have a stipend of some kind AND a supportive spouse/partner/couch dweller that they can plan these things with ... but again that isn't the stereotype so it is unfathomably to most to think of that dynamic ... at least that's my take -
Thanks Nat ... I am rarely flapped or nervous but I kind of got excited in the moment

Hey there Fawlty ... from what I know of the program, it is fairly recent (i.e., 2008?) but they do their best to get an eclectic mix of people into it ... but the # seems to be set between 20-25 as far as acceptances go ... why I do not know ... I don't really know much else about it though .... and here is the larger thread I mentioned

is that common for criminology?

family and unnecessary stress seems to be a common thread in a lot of these postings on the "s*** people say ..." list -

I'm sorry but I've been to Calgary before (and not a Native Canadian so that could explain my question but ...) how can anyone hate on Calgary? It is so gorgeous there! -
boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ... as in "dammit why I didn't think of this pun?!?!"

Well I am still debating because there are some funding options (besides loans) that are still open that I'm trying to figure out all the details to, so I can't quite say that I will go or not go. I have basically become the Hamlet of grad school applicants.

I have missed you Lllama ... in the way a diver misses the deep ... or a heroin addict misses methadone ... or kleptomaniac misses going to the sales at Foot Locker ... and this bracket thing you speak of? What be this contraption good sir?
