Finally IN at U-M SEAS.

With 15k fellowship.

Still can’t believe they kept me waiting for so long that I almost lost faith. But the outcome’s worth it.

Was not invited to Admitted Students Day tho. Due to Coronavirus outbreak.

You guys have fun and please update on your experience!!

Also if you have a group chat for SEAS admits please let me in! Thanks!!

Just got the admission to SEAS at such a late time, in the track of Sustainable System. Is it a relatively unpopular track with a small cohort? I have not heard about many who are admitted into Sustainable System in this application round.

Hey everyone! @alaqua had the idea of starting a group chat for SEAS. I know there's an admitted students Facebook group, but maybe we could use a group chat to discuss the program, get to know each other, etc. Anyone else interested?

I'm still waiting on Bren as well - I hope we hear back before the weekend!

And congrats @WatercolorPainter, I'm so happy for you! :)

Thank you!! It was a nice surprise! It seems like everyone following this forum has gotten some good news, which is really great! Go us ?

I hope that you and everyone else waiting on Bren hears back today! The notification I got said that they were hoping to send out official emails today or early next week.

Can’t believe that my grad school application season just ended like that. Still waiting on another Canadian school but I don’t really wanna go there, so...

What I’ve been thinking this past few days is that the end of my application cycle is not an end, but actually a start. Of course I’m very excited to get into my dream school, but the responsibility to perform well in this program hit me hard. It’s amazing when a dream remains a dream, but when it turns into reality, you have this sudden responsibility to live up to your expectations and not disappoint.

As I said, this is just the beginning. I hope we never forget our enthusiasm and make ourselves proud!!

Does anyone have a guess as to when Duke financial aid decisions will come out beyond "mid-March?" How long did they take last year? Between this and Yale decisions on Friday, March is turning out to be just as stressful as February...

Check out the 2019 thread on this topic! Looks like Duke's financial aid came out March 15th. I think it might be a couple days later this year since decisions came out later.

But I know what you mean! I feel like I'm holding my breath until I know the financial reality of grad school...

All those waiting on decisions from Yale - do you know if all decisions will be released at once on Friday, 5pm EST or periodically after that? It looks as if last year they were released in batches but maybe I'm mistaken!

Just checked that email again-- it says decisions will be available beginning March 6th at 5 eastern, and that they'll email once your decision is out. Based off of the wording I'd assume that they'll do it in batches. Just my hunch!

In at Cal for the MDP! Way earlier than expected, great surprise.

Only waiting on Columbia now, which also happens to be my first choice. Fingers crossed.

Hi! Just wondering how you got notified of your acceptance. Did they send out an e-mail or was your profile in the application portal updated to reflect your new status as accepted?

Anyone received a decision yet from Yale MEM? These three months have been insanely brutal for me in terms of the long waiting time.... Have been accepted to the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University, but Yale is ALWAYS my first priority for sure. Really hope that I can get in!!!! Fingers crossed!!!

"You will be able to view your admissions decision online beginning Friday, March 6, 2020 at 5:00 PM EST. You will receive an email notifying you once the decision is available. "

I'm choosing to interpret this as: we can begin to view it tomorrow at 5pm and then we can view it as much as we want after that too :)

Is that UPenn's MES? If so I'm curious to hear what you think of it. I was accepted back in December but I'm a bit apprehensive about the program

The UPenn program that I was accepted to is called "The Lauder Institute" which is a joint degree program between the Wharton School and the School of Arts and Sciences. Earning a MA degree from SAS for International Studies and MBA from Wharton. However, I just always prefer Yale even than Harvard and Princeton because of its overall reputation and welcoming learning atmosphere. I immediately fell love into it after I was sitting into a class during the Visiting Day.

Also, are you talking about the MES program through UPenn LPS? I have heard it is a good program, and UPenn is known for inclusiveness and collaboration. LPS is under the umbrella of the School of Arts and Sciences which gets you a degree from SAS. Also, since almost all programs at UPenn are quite interdisciplinary, other than the required classes, you can always take classes from the Wharton School which is the best business school in the world and some other schools within the University as well.
