EscapingBrexit Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 I got a small amount of funding, but unfortunately not enough to make this an option! Time to see what else happens and potentially negotiate. wildchartermage and mildlyconfusedmar 2

So I think everyone will receive the email. Update: It would take an hour before one can access Financial Aid page after creating the account I got a scholarship email but not no info on how to access the financial aid website - what portal or link is it?

Click on where it says Net Partner Financial Aid System in blue. That'll open up the pdf with instructions.

DargSchoolDarg Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Accepted to MAIR DC, but 0 funding (urgh). Still a little pleasantly surprised considering extremely limited quant experience and only 161 quant GRE. EscapingBrexit 1
Ravine55 Posted March 5, 2021 Author Posted March 5, 2021 $15K per year for me. Just slightly above what I determined to be the minimum aid I needed. Better than nothing!
Lake10 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Accepted to DC campus with no funding. Does anyone know if financial aid options are available for international students? I am wondering if it is worth it to inquire with the financial aid committee about sources of funding or scholarship options? I dont't see how the cost of attendance can be affordable to many people without some source of funding or scholarship.
academiaenthusiast Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Got into DC MAIR with 30k/year! EscapingBrexit, Kole_Kolt and wildchartermage 3
Kole_Kolt Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 I'm into MAIR in DC with 32k/yr from the dean's scholarship But does anyone know how hard it is to maintain this 3.4 gpa standard so the scholarship gets renewed in the second year? I'm a bit nervous about quant classes since that's my weakness historically, and I've been out of undergrad for 5 years. francophile_1 1
burnt_toast Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 (edited) Why have I not received any funding/financial aid email for MAIR in DC ? Edit: does not receiving any email mean no funding? Edited March 5, 2021 by burnt_toast

I am an international student and got funding - I'd suggest negotiating with them assuming that you also have offers from other schools?

ladiesman217 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Accepted to MAIR DC with 50k aid/year! Six years career experience + 329 GRE + good letters of rec. Wishing everyone else good luck - personally waiting for other decisions but seriously considering JHU! francophile_1 and jldav 2

I'm still waiting on hearing from other schools, and then hopefully start the negotiation process to raise the aid amount. Anyone has some tips for successful negotiation? jldav and Kole_Kolt 2

jldav Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 In at SAIS DC MAIR, no funding so will not be attending most likely. I actually got the financial aid decision before the portal notification so I didn't have any time to be happy haha.

Thinking about trying to defer for a year if I get accepted and if I get hired at a job I'm applying to. I know they said they don't offer deferrals often. Sorry for the late reply. My reason for deferring was Covid because I did not want to attend virtual classes. Last year, SAIS was pretty liberal with its deferral and campus change policies due to the pandemic. Even now Bologna is back in the red zone, so don't see a reason why SAIS Europe won't want to grant deferrals if people want them. Let me know if you need to know anything else.
abula Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 why I didn't heard from SAIS on Mar 5.... I have applied for MIEF, but I didn't get email that day.
Mppgradaspirant2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Has anyone heard back for their MIPP application?
Cassatrass Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Do any of you know when PhD application results are likely to be released?
