They have also recruited professor working on cancer epidemiology recently. In addition, they would accept more full time Ph.D. students than before (they mostly accepted part-time Ph.D. students in the past few years). (Also, I have no idea how to use this platform, forgive me if I did it incorrectly). I initially heard the DrPH admissions decisions timeline a few months ago during a virtual admissions info event. Then a few weeks ago I attended a virtual public health program info event where we could speak directly with admissions staff and that's when I asked if we were still on the same timeline as initially announced, and I was told it was looking like the first week of Feb and that we can reach out and as if we haven't heard by the end of the week. I was told they review apps in January, conduct interviews for selected students in Feb, then they try to have decisions made by end of March or early April. Any other UNC DrPH candidates in here? Here are the responses thus far: GWU - Still reviewing apps. Next steps will be given in the next few weeks. Columbia (SMS) - No interviews are given for doctoral apps. I'm definitely hoping we will all have the same timelines to accept! I'm expecting Rutgers this week, have no idea about UIC, and we both know JHU and UNC are SO late. Ugh. March - April? Hopefully we'd at least hear about interviews for UNC in the next week or so, as they said they're conducted in Feb and each candidate is given a range of dates/times from which to choose.
