sarahseee Posted March 7, 2013 Share Posted March 7, 2013 Did anyone receive an email from the admissions coordinator at CSUN stating that their application is complete and will now be forwarded to the Admissions committee for review? I received a similar email on 1/30, only tonights email stated that if an applicant advances to the next round they will commence interviews beginning mid March through April. Was just wondering if any CSUN applicants received a similar email tonight!? I received one, as well! Then I received an email right after that requesting an interview. I am super nervous now. I have 2+ years of volunteer coordination experience through AmeriCorps with a child advocacy agency and 3 years as a volunteer child advocate. I have 200+ hours as a school social work intern. I also have a few years combined experience in case management for people who were incarcerated and as a therapeutic intervention specialist for a child with autism. The are also some shorter volunteer experiences with my community. I made sure to participate in community or agency trainings whenever possible, especially if they were free (and listed them on my resume) I really hope this is helpful. Twoone Posted March 8, 2013 Share Posted March 8, 2013 Csu mentor in October once it opened and everything else beginning of jan. Didn't matter if I applied early with csumentor since prop 30 passed. The dept of admission said to apply for that early in case prop 30 failed and the cut off would have been in nov. but it passed so it doesn't matter anymore. When did you submit your application (s)? I hope you guys will hear soon too. I submitted most docs in late December but didn't turn in the personal statement until 1/24, so I was pretty surprised to hear this early. lalaloopsy Posted March 15, 2013 Share Posted March 15, 2013 SJSU APPLICANTS: So, just an FYI they are giving priority to people who applied early via CSUMENTOR (which makes sense :-) ) So, If you applied early on CSUMENTOR you'll probably hear back this month....if not, then the wait is on until April :-(...You can also call Molly and she'll let you know the status of your App. ...I applied in January via CSUmentor, so I won't be hearing back until much, much later :-(. Yeah CSULB send me the same email. CSUF accepted me back in Feb. and I even had to interview. My application status states that my application has been forwarded to the school of social work for review. When did you receive an email from CSULB saying that you wont be notified until June?
