I just accepted Otago's offer. I will be moving to New Zealand next semester!

I received a pretty good scholarship offer ($25,000, non taxable) annually, plus tutor opportunities that amount to approximately $6,000 each year. It's a research only degree (similar to the UK) and the offer is for three years and a half. I know the department is not ranked, but I have heard a lot of good things about them and I will have the opportunity to work with a leading figure in my area of interest who happens to teach in NZ (though not at Otago). Anyway, after carefully balancing my professional interests and my personal interests, I decided I would give it a shot.

I will withdrawn my name from the places I'm waitlisted. I hope this helps someone. Also, best of luck for everyone and thank you for making this place such a friendly environment. If anyone is ever coming to NZ and needs a place to stay, feel free to shoot me a message.

Good luck, and congrats! NZ sounds great, and has some great people (Zach Weber is a fantastic logician at Otago who is incredibly nice).

I've just declined my offer from UCSD. I don't think this helps anyone, since I don't think they use a waitlist. I'll either be going to Pittsburgh (if I get off their waitlist), or Georgetown. Very stressful times, but it'll be settled in roughly 24 hours.

best of luck to you isothenia- I know that Pitt is certainly a dream school and your tension must be at peak! Everyone on these threads has been so supportive of each other and it will be so nice to see the tension and anxiety finally over for us all!

Declined UCSD and removed myself from the waiting list at Cornell. Attending Notre Dame!

Congrats! What will your focus be?

I'm on the waitlist for CUNY and Arizona. If I get off the waitlist for CUNY, there is a good chance I will take it. If not, I've declined all acceptances except Simon Fraser University (MA) and will go there.

Attending Toronto.

Congratulations on making the decision PreciselyTerrified!

& my best wishes to all applicants!

I will be attending Toronto as well, but I'll be in the English department; however, I hope to take a few classes in the Philosophy department. Feel free to PM me!

Congrats on the funding!

Attending OU.

Thank you all for being helpful with your thoughts and advices.

Congrats! I hope you like it there! What are your AOIs? I turned down OU for another MA.

Oh my goodness. I just got off the waitlist at Pitt. I'm total disbelief, but I'm absolutely thrilled.

CONGRATS! Funding?!
