Till when should I wait?

Hey fellas, How's it goin' for ya?

I'm still waiting for a single admission. no answer up to now. 

ucsd, uci, northeastern -> chemical engineering

ucr, uic ,uiuc -> bioengineering

all phd.

is there anybody heard from these programs at these univs?

should I have hope for any admission letter?

It's not April 15th yet. When do the program websites say that admissions notifications are sent out? Your GRE Q and GPA are better than mine. I didn't apply to PhD though. Good luck!

There's still technically a chance, but I wouldn't count on it if you haven't heard back by now.

the fact that nobody has heard anything from these universities is strange :| they themselves claim that they have not made any offer up to now whenever I ask the program coordinators.

I know for sure that some of the programs have already made offers.

UIUC Bioengineering emailed acceptances in January and had their visit day in March. However, looking at the results from previous years, it seems like they still made offers in April/May, so maybe they're still in the process of making more offers. Is it possible that reviewing applications takes longer for international students? (I'm assuming you're international because you included a TOEFL score)

I think at this point it would be best if you directly contact the schools to inquire about your status.

UCSD has made offers. The deadline for a lot of these acceptances are in 4 days. They've almost certainly all made offers and have had people commit by now.

uic sent me an admission letter but the financial aid is not offered yet (chemical eng.)...has anyone else received an admittance letter from uic?

The April 15 deadline has nothing to when programs can make admissions decisions.

actually. it does. that was the deadline that Wake Forest gave me and they stuck to their deadline.

Wake Forest's deadline was set by that program. Programs are free to set their own deadlines regarding when to send out offers. The April 15 resolution only applies to when students have to accept funding offers.

I have the same Situation. Have u heard anything from them yet?
