dude3d30 Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Has anyone heard back from NYU Sackler? Went for an interview about a month ago and still no news.
ks414 Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 I'm interviewing at NYU Sackler in a couple weeks and wondered from those who have already interviewed, when did you get your schedule? The only thing I've heard from them is the time of my flight and I was just wondering what to expect for the actual interview, schedule, dress code, etc.

What was the atmosphere? Do people wear suits or is sports jacket/slacks ok?

Majority of the other students wore blazers and something a bit more on the formal side. The interviews were great. Prof's were not there to grill you. The atmosphere was really nice. Had a few mixers and time to talk with faculty and current students. strugglebus2k17 1

Do you know what the acceptance rate is post interview? like how many applied, how many are interviewed, how many are offered interviews and how many ultimately matriculate? I know some schools post this information but I couldn't find one for NYU. Edited February 16, 2018 by strugglebus2k17

I know around 20+ people are invited for interview each round. strugglebus2k17 1

I just looked online, and the interview dates for script are (for La Jolla campus) Feb 22-25th and Mar 1-4th. So I'm assuming if I haven't heard anything from them at this point, I'm taking that as a rejection

Hi - have you heard from UMiami? They notified that they extended their deadline for document submission until 1/31. I followed up again a week ago for an update - but still nothing. Just curious to know whats going on. Thanks!

Nope, still no word from them. Since I submitted my application, I've heard nothing from them.
LiaLuver Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 I also applied to GSU BioSci program and heard nothing from them either.
basketballfrost Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 Do any of you know when is the interview weekend for bio at uc riverside?

If I get any word, I will keep you posted.
JacquelineY Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 An acceptance and a rejection on the same day (last Friday) My school email system literally decided that the rejection letter from Columbia was junk so I had to fish it out of the bin. But I feel good enough about my interview experience and subsequent acceptance at DGP and kinda expected a rejection from Columbia (since I hadn't heard from them) so that doesn't hurt at all ;P Budeer 1
glialstar Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 Today a friend of mine got into the Duquesne Bio PhD program and another got into Brown Pathobiology! Both by email. siliconchins 1
devbioboy Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Got a mixed bag of results today. Got official acceptance in Harvard BBS today! But also got a rejection from UCSF DSCB. I did not really enjoy the prospect of living in SF while there, so I guess it worked out... siliconchins, StemCellFan, Otinogonnyo and 3 others 1 5
