  1. Congratulations! I don't know about all the programs, but I think for IEDP, the original email inviting students to apply said that there would only be one person awarded the Dean's Scholarship.
  2. What were your thoughts on everything after the open house? Are you definitely going to HGSE now?
  3. Just got the email! I won't be accepting but it feels good to have gotten in.
  4. I was only offered 5k in grants and 20k in unsubsidized loans, which doesn't even cover the cost of tuition. I don't know what to do.
  5. Thanks! I might PM you with more specific questions later on. This is a great start though!
  6. I was admitted to the IEP program and while I can't make a decision without hearing back about the financial aid information from Harvard, I'd like to hear more about what current students think about HGSE (and the IEP program, if possible). I'll be honest, the earlier posts in this forum were kind of unsettling but I'm taking it with a grain of salt. So, my questions for current students: 1) What kind of relationship do you have with your cohort? Do you feel "close" with each other/supported by one another? 2) What's the process like for finding internships/jobs during the school year? Are any of them paid? How does the Field Experience Program work, exactly? Do you HAVE to enroll in the S997 or whatever course? 3) What's the quality of coursework like? Have you been able to build good relationships with your professors or are classes too large/impersonal to be able to do that? 4) I read somewhere in the backlogs that something like 80% of HGSE graduates have a job (or at least offers) by May. What kind of places are most students working at? On the IEP website, it has a pretty impressive list of UN agencies and other organizations but realistically, how many students are actually getting job offers from these places?
  7. It also sucks that the scholarships I applied/am applying for from Penn won't get back to me until mid-April or May, well after I have to make a decision.
  8. I'm in the same boat as you. I think Harvard is my top choice but it still depends on financial aid info from Harvard. Both programs seem really great though and it's hard to choose between them without having a full picture of what they would cost me.
  9. This is what it looks like when I log in. Yes, it was the same program. My last name is one of the first letters in the alphabet so maybe they're updating the portal by alphabetical order? And I imagine the weather is impacting decisions this week. I still haven't received an official email telling me to log into the app portal and I imagine they'll only do that when the portal is completely updated and they've made all their final decisions.
  10. Nope, no email. Which makes me think that decisions aren't finalized so I wouldn't worry about it. If I didn't read these forums, I wouldn't have even known to check the portal.
  11. Oh oops didn't realize they were different things. I guess I'm in!
  12. Hmm, I just logged in and all I see is the green checkmarks right next to my submitted documents. I didn't try logging in before this when it was apparently down so I don't know how this differs from before. Oh well. Even if I did get in, I don't think I'd end up at TC without a substantial scholarship. NYC is expensive!
  13. Admitted to IEP! Congrats everyone!
