  1. The system has sent me a couple of those "update" emails in recent weeks, but in the end there were no changes to my account. Don't get your hopes up as the school informed that beginning of March is when offers will start going out. Then again, bureaucracies aren't always in unison so it might very well be an admission offer! I hope for your sake it is!
  2. Nope, but as I previously posted my application is finally complete for both GSPIA and the MPA.
  3. Uottawa FINALLY uploaded my research description file for the MPA. I suppose that things are starting to "brew" ever so gently!
  4. So CERES @ Munk doesn't offer any funding to international students?? I know for a fact that funding from CERES is quite generous for domestic students. The mandatory European internship after the first year is what turned me away from applying.
  5. A friend of mine applied to this program and has still not received word on their application.
  6. Im pretty sure its reading week next week for most universities. Will administrative staff even be working during that time? Could be a whole week before movement starts again.
  7. Just received one of those automated emails from OttawaU, yet theres been no changes to my account.
  8. Just called, they are dealing with a new system so the processing of LOR's are what is taking so long. As a result, they don't expect to start evaluations of applications for another 2 to 3 weeks.
  9. Well, I was hoping Uottawa would've finalized my documents by today, but I guess that will have to wait until after reading break.
  10. I really wouldn't stress about it too much..They will get to everyone's (yours included) soon enough! The real stress will begin once we start seeing admissions go out.
  11. My status has changed to "review in progress by department". Tabbatha emailed me because apparently my preference form was blank. Something to do with Mac compatibility issues.
  12. If I were to venture a guess, I would say GSPIA receives slightly less applications compared to NPSIA. NPSIA still has the brand recognition, so that probably gives em a bump in terms of volume of applications.
  13. I think cohorts vary from year to year. I recall the NPSIA representative at the APSIA fair in the fall mentioning that last year's cohort was about a 100 people.
  14. We've got time..NPSIA informed me that admissions won't be going out till mid March at the earliest.
  15. My status for NPSIA still shows "preliminary review required"..My last LOR was processed on the 3rd of February
  16. My transcripts finally got loaded into the system for Uottawa, so at least theres SOME progress!
  17. Oh believe me, I always get the voicemail the first time I call. It usually takes two phone calls per department for someone to pick up.
  18. Hmm..The GSPIA person I just spoke to basically told me the tired old spiel of "graduate studies department is backed up...2000 emails to sort through"...So I figure now I'm gonna just sit back and wait for my UOttawa account to update itself.
  19. Yup Feb 11th and Feb 28th..This could be the first week we see some movement!
  20. Toronto and Vancouver are par for the course. Difference being, on average wages tend to be higher in the GTA compared to the GVRD.
  21. A NPSIA/GSPIA degree can also be useful in departments such as CSIS and CSEC. In addition to my NPSIA and GSPIA applications, I also applied to Uottawa's MPA.
