  1. If they interviewed you, I'm sure they would let you know. The interview day isn't mandatory though and it's not critical for admission. Even if you do not get an invite to the open house, I wouldn't lose hope. That being said, I do hope you hear back soon
  2. @Clinicalpsyc12 To add to this, I know a clinical student currently at UOttawa and they were accepted with 9 points on the ranking system. So to answer your question, having no publications won't necessarily hurt you unless you don't have enough points in other areas.
  3. My POI invited me for dinner the night before interview day. I’m kind of terrified. Has anyone else done this ?! SOS
  4. Don't give up on McGill yet! I believe approvals for interviews are just getting to POIs now! Best of luck with Ottawa I wish I could stay here but the only POI I wanted to work with wasn't accepting students for 2019.
  5. I didn't apply to uOttawa, but I know they're usually later in the game. They also don't have an official interview day, so I don't think they're as pressed for deadlines.
  6. Received e-mail from POI today that she forwarded my name for the Visiting Day on Feb 11! For those waiting to hear from Ryerson, we should receive the official invitation over the next week from the Graduate Program Administrator.
  7. Thanks! I'm beyond excited
  8. School: McGill Type: PhD Clinical Psychology Date of Invite: Jan 16th, 2019 Type of invite: Email invitation for in-person interview/lab tour Interview date(s): TBD - Currently arranging with POI Please don't PM for POI. I'd rather not say at this time. Thanks!
  9. I agree! This is my second round applying. I was rejected last year all around. It's all a learning process and most, if not all of us, will receive a rejection this year from at least one school!
  10. Has anyone heard from York yet?
  11. I've had very similar questions! I think this is a great list of common questions that everyone should prep for!
  12. Yes! We had a call later in the evening.
  13. Yeah I sent an email basically saying everything you mentioned. Im pretty disappointed but will give the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully will hear from them soon.
  14. Guys I’m pretty concerned and need some wwyd advice... I was supposed to interview with a POI Friday over Skype but something came up for them and they only were able to contact me 3 hours after the scheduled time to let me know. We rescheduled for today, but it is now 40 minutes late with no email or call... Should I continue to be in touch with them? I’m not getting the best impression. Maybe something emergent did occur, I don’t know, but an email would have been nice...
  15. Ryerson faculty have until Friday to submit their short list to admin. Those short listed will be invited to an open house on Feb 11. FYI
  16. Then go for it! i don't think you'd regret the travel, that's for sure!
  17. I don't think it matters.. if it's your first choice and you don't mind to spend the money, there's no harm. Flying within Canada can be pretty pricey though
  18. My second Ryerson interview! This time with a POI I applied to work with School: Ryerson University Type: MA/PhD Clinical Psychology Date of Invite: Jan 10th, 2018 Type of invite: Email for Skype interview Interview date(s): Tomorrow evening POI: PM me

  20. I haven't heard anything yet. I had an interview early December, but that's about it.
